I'm kind of shocked that this isn't attracting the same level of attention as the Kimmel/FCC thing (which I think was and is a big deal). This is extremely concerning, and no one knows that better than military and natsec officials and experts in this area. I can't figure out if the general cynicism of people who work in this area is part of the problem or if everyone else is panicking just like me but just doing so silently.
It's this.
People are scared.

Wouldn't it be better for the good people, who are loyal to the constitution, to say sure, sure I'm loyal and then muck up the gears from within?
Whether an individual service member is able to resign or retire is entirely at the discretion of the government.
“Mucking up the gears from within” is sabotage and possibly treason, and not something one wants to be involved in while subject to the military justice system.
The UCMJ says that not only can you refuse to follow an unlawful order, it is in fact your duty to not follow an unlawful order.

Suffice it to say, there is zero respect. But it is very funny. Gallows humour.
Meanwhile, the Russians and Ukrainians are making enormous advances in drone warfare every month. The battlefield has changed forever. This is an incredibly important time for militaries everywhere. The speed of change is phenomenal.
And the US has decided to confront these threats…. by bringing every general in the world to Virginia for a lecture about grooming.
That’s the priority of a Fox News host as SecDef.
Hate this.
I appreciate you passing this on. I’m disappointed with the national guardmen that I’ve spoken with who seemed to be all in for Maga. Glad to hear not everyone in the military likes what is going on.

My neighbor says they are making a safety plan for their family.....it does seem not good.
What does that entail? A safety plan from…?

America has made huge advances in drone technology too. We will have a leaner and older force.
