Splitting hairs here. One can have a bad experience at Williams/Amherst and a great experience at a so-called Lower NESCAC or non-NESCAC LAC. It comes down to 20% fit and 80% the kid’s proactive-ness in making the most of where they are.

Colby’s Alfond sports complex over 350,000 square feet is the platinum facility in the NESCAC. The school is reaching new heights!

Presidents of small LACs not named Amherst or Williams make a big difference. The prior President of Bowdoin did a wonderful job and the current President of Colby is fantastic. I do envision Colby overtaking Midd.

Nobody else does and nobody ever will until they resume submitting CDS reports like every other reputable school. Colby is doing well but you are reaching a rarified level of Boosting previously out of reach for everyone except Bucknell (pipeline to the street) and Holy Cross (holy board representation).

You don’t need to release a CDS to get a high ranking. Colby is already well ranked without releasing one. There’s no connection between the two.

It is strange that they do not participate when all of their peers do.

The WSJ rankings are absolute trash. There is no rhyme or reason to their metodology other than creating conversation. UCMerced is a top school using their rubric.

The Middlebury hater is trying a new twist since the usual junk isn’t getting any traction.

But all of you arm chair finance whizzes know more than they do. And don't go insulting them - trust me - they know more than you.

Moody’s actually held the rating outlook at stable they did not revise it to negative so even better than you mentioned.
