This used to work because there wasnt many places you chould get information about youth soccer. Now theres several and people are correctly calling out when statements are just not true.
Anyone pushing one league over the other has an agenda. There is no material difference in outcomes based on the league for boys. Girls might be a different story. Even then, club > league.
On average, MLSNext team pace of play is 20% faster. It just is.

The weird thing about the super troll that's posting everywhere is that they love SY (School Year) groupings and seem to hate MLS Next and biobanding.
Normally Id assume these kind of rantings would be a girls ECNL parent but I think this time it's a boys ECNL parent.
90% of the posters are girl dads.
True -- as that is the only soccer that really matters in the US. No one cares about the boys side. Girl dads will keep the focus on the girls' side for college admissions. That is why there will be no movement at MLSN from the ECNL clubs. The loud voices inthe clud are the girl dads and they often control the boards of these clubs.

If they are coming mostly from kids playing in GA or MLSN pay to play that would explain a lot.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I have a theory that its not multiple ECNL parents posting the crazy. Nah, what it is happening is that anyone who disputes some of the nonsense the MLSN people throw around is labeled an 'ECNL Hat' to avoid actually making an argument. I can tell by your grammar (or lack thereof) you are the same MLSN guy from the SY thread. You post crazy stuff (that is barely legible) and then flail around calling everyone who disputes it crazy and 'ECNL hats'.
As a ECNL parent, I know many ECNL parents that are completely obsessed with MLSNext and GA. It definitely goes both ways.

Uncool sarcasm. While there is no pro path for GA players, slamming them is lame.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:So, WHICH club locally does best with college recruitment and WHAT league are they in?
Arlington or Richmond. ECNL.

Girls or boys?
Both- their college placements for boys are very strong--Villanova, JMU, UMass, Gtown, Mason, UNC- W, Ivys, W&M. Nearly their entire rosters have committed which in this day and age with boys recruiting is super rare. Far better than Next college results in this area for sure with the exception of Bethesda who also does very well.. There is no way these ECNL clubs will switch as there is no reason to change and dilute themselves. They've got great results for the type of customer they have (which is the college focussed customer).
Someone from ECNL talking dilution…that’s rich.
It's nice to see people call out ECNL hats insane nonsense.
Oh and "college focussed customer" hahahaha ridiculous statement.
Uhm- that is exactly who ECNL serves. Parents who want their girls (or boys) to use soccer as a pathway to a good college. If you don’t know that about their customer base it’s on you. Clubs are businesses who want to keep getting paid.
It's funny because college committments are table stakes for all leagues.
Its like a car manufacturer saying that they cater to the "tire focused customer". Yes we all want tires on the car we buy.
Not GA families. They want to be pro players! The MLSNext partnership gives them the inside track to professional playing opportunities.
