Why?

No it is not. But another example of Engler’s life getting turned upside down due to shitty and inaccurate communications from MCPS. Had Mooney done a proper investigation and MCPS hadn’t had their heads up their asses, maybe facts would have come out and he would not have lost his job as crew coach. And maybe BCC men’s crew would not be the laughing stock it is today.

Could that be reason Mooney tried to get rid of Engler, if there were already some other stuff in Engler's file which "justified" removing him from the school? Wasn't he also a crew coach? For the boys team, or the girls?
Yes, he coached the boys crew team. Similar to MCPS, the crew board made a knee jerk reaction and fired him. When he was coach the team won championships, was motivated and full of hard working kids. Since his termination the BCC boys crew team has become a joke in the DC rowing community - no sense of camaraderie, zero motivation, and tons of losses on the river.
Did the crew board let him go after Feb 2023 incident or prior to the incident at BCC?

One of the colleagues used to have issues with him as well. She felt talked down and that he was a bit chauvinistic on his replies to her. I didn’t spoke to the dude or witnessed their interactions, but that’s what she told me.
Truth. Had a lot of conversations about Dan Engler's chauvinism with my DD who took his IB English course and had many other interactions with him. But, sadly, chauvinism is not an "offense" in the workplace or the larger world.
