That's exactly what they mean. The US military has historically been great for valuing talent regardless of background. But Hegseth is all about elevating mediocre white men. And Pete Hegseth is the poster child for mediocrity. It's a shame.


+1. He’s a mediocre DUI hire. In this administration-he never would have gotten his position had he not been a white male. Hence why DEI had been established so that excellent candidates of color and women wouldn’t be passed over for a man who thinks it’s just fine to share war plans with journalists and his third wife.
