Begun in the sense that they’ve been announced, but I don’t know if people have been laid off or moved.

About 300 last week. Concentrated in staff areas that match DOGE's rampage through the Federal IT development programs.

Jason Providakes messed up the place.

Jason had all of these grand plans to "reinvent" Mitre. It all sounded great before Trump, but not it's a death spiral. I can't believe the board went along with his foolishness.

Agreed, always thought he was a disaster; but, I don't think anyone could have anticipated
or prepared for DOGE.

Anecdotes indicate that Trump renewed their FFRDC contract -- and also the one for CMU/SEI.

Both had always been scheduled to need renewal (or termination) in spring 2025.

What about RAND’s contracts?

Not up for renewal.

All the DoD ones are being renewed now. (I work there)

I don't believe you.

Because you work there?!?

Has Katherine made this announcement or is it just rumors?

Just rumors.

I know for a fact a few folks have been let go. On the true government contracting side.

If you’re not in the office more than 3 or 4 days a week, many companies have taken away permanent office assignments and moved to hotel offices. That way they can consolidate the number of floors being leased. Is that what’s happening here?

Meaning everyone is remote? Or just they are herding you into conference rooms?
