Seriously. And actually snow starts earlier than 3.

I wouldn't mind going to school for part of the day. My issue is with my elementary student who goes to late ending school. She doesn't get done until 4:05 on a normal day, so early release will be 2:05, which is projected to be in the middle of snow. I don't want her or the bus on the road in the middle of the storm.

They used to do on the day off, but again they used to call snow days on the day off,. but parents now are so insane that they have to call them the day before, so I think if we do have a early release it will be the day before. I am praying to all the Gods that we have school tomorrow and Friday. I have to go to the office now, FCPS doesn't understand that they are making us go in the office now.

Your return to the office has no bearing on the decision FCPS will make which is based on the safety of 185,000 students. Get a grip.

This superintendent has been way more transparent than Brabrand ever was. She's been clear about why decisions have been made, admitted that they aren't always ideal, etc. I find her emails obnoxious as heck but she does a good job disseminating information in a timely manner.

My guess is they truly don't know. They are waiting to see the models running tonight. South of us is easier to call, it's supposed to start earlier.

FCPS used to do early releases a lot more years ago, but it seems they are trying to do away with that.
Isn’t it tricky to try to get all the kids home whose parents don’t come get them?
(Today’s early release at the elem school is an example of this. Office was full of kids whose parents forgot to get them.)
