What specifically do you find hilarious about an anon twitter troll lying about a man having sex with furniture?

HAHAHA please this is objectively funny, how did you think writing this would help your case?

I have removed the excerpt because it is certainly not real. I don' have a copy of the book on hand (strange because I am pretty sure I both an ebook version) but there are several indications beyond the lewd content that it is fake.

I do have a copy and checked and it is not there, at least not on the pages cited. I also think it is something I would remember reading, which I don't.

The exchange with his grandma (is that one real? I have never read the book and don’t have any interest in doing so) is plenty bad enough. The “do you like to ___ (r)ick” passage is the one I’m talking about.

Yes, that is real but in context is tolerant of gay people. In fact, J. D. goes to some length to show tolerance for gay people throughout the book.

There is a 0% chance that exchange with grandma happened. It’s one of the more obvious made up exchanges in the book. He is a transparent serial fabricator and pathological liar.

Well, yeah…. But thsts why everyone believed the couch thing.

See, Jeff said the jokes in this thread were barely up to being called lowbrow, and I don't think that's true.

After Kristi Noem wrote that she shot a puppy for no good reason, my willingness to believe that a politician will put something stupid in a book has increased. I saw the tweet and genuinely was unsure—I was very open to the idea it was fake and the moment I saw a credible place discount it, I could accept it, but I also know nothing about his book except that it was supposed to be not very good, filled with a lot of uncomplimentary things about himself and the people that he expects will vote for him. And I've also seen him and heard him speak and he ABSOLUTELY has the vibes of a guy sexually interested in furniture and the arrogance to put it in a book.

And THAT is the problem, when a Republican like me, finds it plausible that you're a creep like that, you're screwed. Trump stepped in it with this pick—Burgum might have his problems but no one would think this was a plausible thing to say about him.

And I did appreciate that. I just grew up in a family where people did not talk like that, certainly not to children. It sounds like the kind of language that Republicans would jump all over in literally any other context as “grooming” or some such.

Does writing, "it is certainly not real" give you the impression that I thought it was real?
