What about my bodily right not to have an unwanted parasite growing inside me and distorting my body causing me extreme discomfort and, possibly, ends getting my life?

I am 100% pro choice (and pro euthanasia as well). However I do think that people who use abortion as a method of birth control are pretty disgusting.
Unless you’re talking about rape, we all know that you can get pregnant when you have sex. If you don’t want to get pregnant, don’t have sex. If you don’t want an unwanted parasite growing inside you, why are you precipitating in activities that could potentially put one there?
You’ll be glad to know this doesn’t happen, so your reservation has been cared for.
Really? Every woman who gets an abortion has been forcibly impregnated? No one has ever had unprotected sex, gotten pregnant, then aborted the baby they didn’t want?
Man you really do learn something new every day.
Hey do you know birth control (ALL forms of birth control) can fail, even if used perfectly?
You’re proving my point. The only way to not get pregnant is to not have sex. When you have sex with birth control, and still get pregnant, you are using an abortion as a form of birth control.
Again, I’m pro choice. But having an abortion as a method of birth control is disgusting.
So...you propose abstinence only, even in marriage, if someone doesn't want a baby?

Listen, idiot. Birth control can fail. You live by your beliefs and allow me to live by mine.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Why would I kill myself for an h born when I have living children to take care of!?!?
How are you killing yourself?
Ectopic pregnancies
Sepsis
Infection due to PPROM
Extreme cases of HG
Cancers discovered during pregnancy
Heart conditions discovered during pregnancy
Pre-existing heart or kidney conditions or other health conditions for which pregnancy poses extreme risks
Placental abruption
Pre-eclampsia
Etc
Etc
Etc
All of the above can be fatal to the mother. All can result in life-altering consequences to the mother and limit or prohibit her ability to carry future pregnancies or take care of children she already has.
Have you never known anyone in your life who has had a life-threatening pregnancy? How fortunate.
Then don’t have sex I guess? These are like the arguments made against ending slavery before machinery and electricity. Working a farm by hand in the hot summer sun is way deadlier than pregnancy. The abuse of the helpless for the convenience of the strong is wrong in every age.
I had a friend who died from a much wanted pregnancy that suddenly and unexpectedly killed her.
That can happen in any pregnancy. Moreover pregnancy is a difficult process that leaves every woman’s body changed. It is literally labor to gestate for 9 months. And difficult, potentially dangerous and even deadly work. That’s why women get to decide, why they have the upper hand in deciding if they are willing to donate their body and their labor and time to gestating a human being. You seem to believe in forced labor. That is completely un-American.

After she was pregnant she found out her lymphoma is back. She had the choice to terminate the pregnancy and start treatment immediately or to carry the pregnancy to term and start treatment after. That was her choice and not a choice I would have made and unfortunately since she delayed treatment she ended up passing a year later. Now her husband has three children under the age of seven to raise on his own. And while I feel for him, that was a choice that they made together to delay treatment. Did not want the government to tell me I had to delay treatment and likely leave my children motherless

These are the frighteningly dumb people who don't understand not every woman got pregnant during a one night stand and treats abortion like birth control and goes to a clinic and gets a card punched and the 12th abortion is free, or that every woman even WANTED the abortion.
98% of abortions in the US are elective. There was no rape or incest, no medical problems for either mother or baby.
Is that what newsmax tells you?

If you don’t believe in abortion don’t have one. How does someone else’s choice personally impact you? Be thankful if you have never been the victim of child sexual abuse. Be thankful if you have never found yourself in an abusive relationship. Be thankful if you grew up in a stable home with two loving, involved parents or even one. Until you walk in someone else’s shoes, you don’t know what choices you might make.
It’s like saying if you don’t want to own slaves don’t do it. How does someone else’s choice personally impact you?
It's actually nothing like that at all.
