Did he feel dating options were limited?

This.
1000 percent. Compared to its peer schools, Hopkins is much more about academic achievement when it comes to admissions. Period.
So, sure there are a few recruited athletes etc etc. But, nothing like other schools. This may not work for every student, like those who want school spirit to be built around the football team, for instance. But it does make admission more straightforward.
Which is all very well and good in principal.
But 18 percent white is ridiculous. 75 percent of the US is white.
Show me the numbers that Black and Hispanic students are doing so much better than the white students applying to places like Hopkins.
I'll wait.
I'm all for meritocracy. Academic achievement should be the metric. But this is just DEI racism.
18% white is the result of rabid DEI.

Did he like his time there ? What does he say about the social aspect, general day-to-day environment?
Absolutely loved it and made friends for life. Don't they would have traded the experience for any other.

You can’t be half Hispanic, either you are or you’re not.

Agree. And if they are adhering to the new SC ruling, there is absolutely no way the next incoming class can be only 18-19% white. It is racial discrimination.
Be careful what you wish for. Hopkins could very easily be 70% Asian next year.
I know you Asians love to think whites aren’t as bright. Just untrue. Which big tech innovators are Asian? Gates or Jobs or Bezos or Musk? Which race invented Crisp-r technology? Who discovered DNA? The polio vaccine? Covid vaccine?
Personally, I’m glad you aren’t getting screwed at Hopkins like you do at most universities—but there’s no need to put down another race. My white kids are top in their classes in high school—and scored 36 on ACT; 5s on all APs (yes the Calc and science ones too).
This exactly!

According to jhu there are more Hispanic kids than non-Hispanic white kids in the class of 2027. What? This has to be a lot of white kids fibbing and putting down latino because I’ve been on campus multiple times recently and these numbers do not feel right
