did you see the viral videos of stanley cups with mould on the straw. Like i wouldn't put my lips on someone else's bottle. Let alone one with teeth bite marks used by the previous owner. ewww

My teen works at Starbucks. Came home with a Stanley cup someone left at the store. They are to throw out any lost items after a week according to her but I am just nuts over why she would want to put a straw into her mouth that would have been someone else’s. It was not badly chewed up but it had some tooth scratches. Years ago, she would not even use her sister’s bottle because the sister chewed at the nozzle but now her standards has totally changed? Maybe because it is a Stanley? (Another thing i don’t get!) I am deciding if this is to be a battle or just forget it and fight the bigger battles?

It's so normal for kids to share water bottles with teammates. A little weird the other girl didn't ask but it's happened to DS a few times.

reminds me of a situation where my daughter went for a hockey class. She left her hydroflask at the bench and after we left, we went back for it. She saw another girl drinking from her bottle. It had all my daughter's stickers on it and asked what she was doing. (dd didn't know her) girl just said she was thirsty and handed her bottle back. Straw was in the other person's mouth and was still wet from her drinking from it. She didn't even wipe off her spit. It was awful.

I'm glad your child is resourceful and using an item that would have likely wound up in a landfill!

Good for her. My child lost 2 nice water bottles in a row on the bus and I'm sure they were just thrown out. I would feel better if I knew someone was actually using them.

I would show how you trace them to the house. If she is willing to search her house that will be great. But it could be finding a needle in the haystack.

I can tell you from my own AirPods. The location is quite inaccurate. I had my AirPods with me when I left the office. Stopped by two places and now home. It still shows under find my devices as still in the office. So basically if your kid was at her friends house and dropped it after, it could still show as being at her friends house even though it was dropped later somewhere else. So the parents search may also turn out nothing

Kids put stuff down all the time a lose things. I’m sure she has lost things also She got lucky. What doesn’t kill her, makes her stronger. Just drop it and move on. Not worth fighting about. It’s ok mama. As a teen, you will have bigger battles.
