We had a structured party at a venue in the Spring. I kept the numbers down to about 10 due to the cost per kid. Two kids arrived halfway through the party (almost missing the activity). One kid slept through the mid morning party… In the end, it’s just a kids’ party. These social faux pas are a little annoying, but it’s more important to focus on the celebration and move on. I was just happy not to be dealing with a sleepover - ugh, that’s what she wants next time.

Ugh, the worst. Similar happened to me. Friend bailed on our party bc she said there was a family emergency and then posted a pic of her kids at a sprayground near her local in laws. I thought someone was headed to the ER or something the way she made it sound.
