The prenup should’ve been on more of a vesting schedule where she got more depending on how long they were married.
It’s so stupid when rich famous men try to screw their wives this way. It’s much smarter to give them enough money and perhaps an agreement not to malign in press or do a book deal
NP. Nobody cares. I’m sorry, but all the hysterics in this thread claiming that KC will lose fans are delusional. First, if they even know about it, there will be a lot of people who look at the situation and say, she was 30, she had a lawyer herself, and she signed a contract, too bad. Second, nobody cares what male celebrities do. Tom Cruise is hugely popular, for instance.
This thread seems to be populated by women who have a meager understanding of California pre-nup litigation. She could challenge but she is probably going to lose.
I don’t really understand all the takes in this thread that seem totally untethered to reality.

Asking for almost 300k a month in child support is insane.
People had a meltdown when Kevin Federline asked for 25k a month. This is more than ten times that. It is nonsense.
It's nuts because it's more than most Californians make in a year. He could spite her and pick a random family to give that amount to each month. On the other hand I really wonder what he did to make the divorce this ugly. Jeff Bezos's divorce wasn't this nasty. She is hella mad and out for revenge that's for sure.
Bezos didn’t have a prenup that MacKenzie was trying to get out of.
MacKezie helped build the business. She quit a Wall Street job and worked at Amazon and was there working when it made $0 for 15 years.
MacKenzie did not get Jeff’s money she got her money.
KC’s wife did not do anything to advance his career.
Nobody is saying that McKenzie is like Christine. Just commenting that a much more high stakes divorce had less public nastiness than the Costners.

Yea, that’s not how it works. That’s not how any of this works. If the prenup isn’t enforced/they don’t settle, the judge isn’t going to go - oh whoops, you’ve spent all your money on XYZ, guess there is nothing to give to the ex.
Moving assets around and hiding money is exactly how it works. I've seen millionaire men in my own orbit WITHOUT prenups successfully do this.

I haven't followed this story, but it makes me wonder if he's offering her so little because he's angry. Did she cheat or initiate the divorce and he didn't want to divorce?
If not, this makes him look petty and stingy to the mother of his children.
It’s the amount she asked for in the prenup.
He cheated.
Unless the prenup had a cheating clause, it’s irrelevant. And given the info leaked by both sides, there’s no cheating clause.
I’m shocked a lawyer would have agreed to such a paltry amount in a pre nup with no cheating clause. Who was advising her?!
She was 18 and he was almost 40 years old.

Britney Spears worth 60 million
Kevin Costner worth 400 million
