My issue has been that they are asking people to REDUCE/MINIMIZE exposure and eliminate it for at-risk groups. The crazy part is that there is no change in driving patterns and people are probably driving more to go to indoor spaces. If my kids camp gets closed tomorrow since it is 100% outdoors Ill be driving to indoor spaces for him to get some exercise so I can work the rest of the day. No one is giving time off for these events and the world must keep turning so we all have to make the best choice we can. I usually walk my dog at 9pm for 45-60 minutes. I may skip the walk or reduce it or wear a mask but the idea that she doesn't get to exercise or go outside is kind of insane. I also wouldn't choose to take her for a full walk today. There is a middle ground here.
Its 464 in a part of PA. You stay inside 24/7.
Its the people who are like I am going stay inside to protect myself but order multiple deliveries so I don't risk going outside completely minimizing the cumulative effects of having someone drive multiple deliveries to you when you don't actually need them you are just getting them to make staying inside more enjoyable (?). If you are going to be so crazy to not go outside at all, for any reason, you'll survive on whatever is in your fridge or pantry. And if you arent doing that you are just virtue signaling and get off on hysterics.
Where in PA is it 464?

I feel fine. Maybe very mildly groggy, but something I probably wouldn't notice if no one told me it was a code red air alert.
- mid 40s female, probably going to go for a short run tomorrow morning
Don't worry about the particles getting into your lungs. You also don't feel radiation when it's happening - but still, you want to avoid it. Go for a run, we could use less people on the planet.
Honestly, why are people so stupid.
I'm going to bet that you were one of the people who wore gloves during the early covid days, wiped down your groceries, and lysoled yourself before entering your house after removing your "contaminated" clothes.
Nope, I did none of those things. I also know the difference between virus and air pollution. Also don't put myself in hazard situations I don't have to. But, hey - you do you.
It's a couple of days. I'm not elderly, I don't have any health conditions, and am in good physical health. Sorry, I'm not concerned about a 3 mile run. You do you, though.
I know, why would you listen to scientists and doctors and experts. You were probably one of those NO MASK ON MY KIDZ people.
I AM listening to doctors and experts. I am not in vulnerable health. I'm perfectly capable to listening to my body and taking it easy if I feel rough, but as a healthy person whose worst health issues are some cavities and eczema... sorry, I'm not concerned for my specific heath circumstance. One size does not fit all.
I'm also an elementary teacher. As most of us can tell you, masks really don't do diddly squat in schools. They don't stand up to the penetrating germy germiness of little kids. And I've still never voted for a Republican once in the 25 years of my voting history.
An elementary school teacher? Why am I bothering with you, your ability to understand complex issues ended at "don't eat paste"
Sub for a week in any elementary class, and come back and say that again with a straight face. We both know you're a farce. Stay scared and afraid, again.
