If you are the 23:24 poster, what are people supposed to comment about? Abortion? Climate change? Those topics have their own threads for specific dedicated discussion. This thread is about dissatisfaction with the lack of political choices and whether the No Labels party can shake up entrenched partisanship

Huh? DNC crazies? What's wrong with loan forgiveness? And do you think Manchin is going to fix the cost of higher education? Nope. And, "take away your gas powered durable goods?" Do you seriously think a squad of armed, jackbooted EPA ninjas are going to come rappelling down from black helicopters at 3AM, kick in your garage door and take away your car? Wow. Get serious, that is not at all the case. Not even remotely. If anything your NEXT car might either have higher MPG standards or an incentive if you buy an EV or plug-in hybrid.
I am hoping your post was in jest.
I'd vote for Manchin because of crime. Biden is terrible and I voted for him, Clinton, and Obama.
Don't be ignorant. You vote for trump ( a vote for manchin or some other spoiler is the same as a vote for trump), or you vote for Biden. You have to pick you poison like everyone else.
No, they really don’t. And this time a 3rd party has a better chance than most elections if Trump and Biden are the major party candidates. Not sure I will vote 3rd party but it is intriguing.
No they don't. There is ZERO chance for a third party to win an election. The best it can do is take enough votes away from one of the GOP or Dems for the other to win. Jill Stein and the "Greens" did it to Hillary, and "No Labels" intends to do it to Biden. If you want Trump, vote Trump or No Labels. If you want the Dems, then vote for Biden. There is no middle ground in this cycle. Perhaps in the future, but not in 2024.
Are you the same poster posting every other comment? Or are there multiple people trying to alienate independent voters by calling us secret Republicans?

We need a good, middle of the road candidate. Someone who can offer the country common-sense solutions without drama, or concerns about that person’s health.
Unless you are in a swing state, it makes no difference. Write in Oprah or George Washington if you want. If you are voting in a swing state you in effect vote for Biden or Trump/third party. That is just the way the cookie crumbles.
True but oh how the R and D parties would quickly transform for the better if only 80% of voting Americans voted for their questionable at best candidates instead of the over 98% of Americans voters that gave their stamp of approval to the R and D candidates in 2020. Throw a Ross Perot into the mix and enjoy the cleansing effect.

Bully for you.
This is what I’m saying as I call every single “moderate” and “independent” and “I voted Democrat but” voter on a Republican. We can still get our country back on track and off this weird medieval-but-with-cell-phones thing that regressives want, but if too many would be Democratic voters peel off “because both parties should implode” (seriously effed up and stupid take, PP) and vote third party, we’re done. The GOP has got to be beat all the way back to such a place of loss that they drop the extremism and stupidity that has hallmarked that party for years.
Why shouldn’t we want better than the grotesque parties we have now? We need a serious realignment, and at least 3 strong parties to keep things balanced.
The money and power around DC has no desire for a political realignment and certainly no desire for a viable 3rd party. Self preservation is the strongest of human instincts. You will be shouted down for such thoughts in a DC metro political thread. It is what it is.
