I'm not sure what's up with parents, who are not employed at the school, are not evaluated by the school, and are not paid by DCPS, thinking that they control HR and our school. That seems...hard to believe
Since you seem to be unclear on the concept, I’ll explain. Parents are key stakeholders in schools, and they have a lot of influence.

Hardy also has a few teachers that are dismal and really need to go.
And I think we know what the dismal ones are doing tonight.
LOL thanks education expert. How long could you hang in a room of 33 twelve year olds? You wouldn’t last an hour.

(This is all documented. You don’t think people keep records?) if you are the teacher telling girls they cannot do what boys do, good riddance. If you’re the teacher showing up halfway through the day, good riddance. If you cannot even bother to upload grades for an entire quarter, good riddance. If you’re a teacher letting kids screaming out for help languish each and every day, good riddance.
If you’re fearful of parents, reflect upon why that is. If you’re doing a good job — and many teachers are — you should have nothing to fear.
And to the teacher who claimed Cooke left because of parents, you should ask him. I guarantee you he will not say that’s the case.
None of those people.
But if you're the parent who lives vicariously through your child, well, we already know you are
dude teacher, I think you better go to bed before you dig your hole any deeper. you are not actually helping convince people that Hardy is run by competent educators.
“Dig a hole”…..what are the parents going to do - start a petition to get me fired next?
Dude- the teachers of Hardy have nothing to prove to parents on this forum. If your children have actually gone to Hardy and learned from my colleagues (past and present) they already know the spectacular work the teachers have done for your children. Do you know how many Hardy kids are at Banneker, Walls, JR, or other private schools and are absolutely thriving? I’ve lost count.
Teachers are not going to kowtow to parents. Nope.
Dang dude. I think that cranky parent was responding to me and damn if you didn't say it better than me. The fact that they think we answer to them is absolutely hilarious
Well clearly you do answer to them, because they got the principal fired.
Please come for us. The WTU sucks and we'd still outlast all of your complaints.
Remember when you all cried when we took a sick day.
Go drink your sutter home and celebrate removing a black man from a job.
Hardy teachers are organizing. Apparently they will out next week. I will keep my kid home and support the teachers. I live amongst these complaining parents and yes— they are racist.
Thank you! We appreciate you and understand that you are the majority. Even if we thought our leadership wasn't great, it's an absolutely gross precedent set what happened here
Curious where you were when the black JOW principal got chased out?

This is true at any school in the entire world.
