We’re getting them every damn day with our own experiences. The schools and teachers overwhelmed with illiterate illegal parents and children. Dumbing down the curriculum further.
Long waits at hospitals while they deal with people with no name, age, English, or money.
Terrible drivers smashing cars all the time then playing dumb and illiterate- If they even stick around.
Higher and higher property and income tax rates, insurance premiums, costs of living. Meanwhile $billions a year of black market job money going to Central American by illegal immigrant families’s kids on multiple forms of welfare (don’t go above $42k income, lose ur benies!).
Crime up. Lack of road rules up. Lack of community up- I’ve met Hispanic immigrants that seem to take great pride in how they can’t form a simple sentence correctly in English. Why would anyone hire that?
Poor quality of service - landscaping, construction, house cleaning, and gawd forbid if you try a nanny who’s faking her English skills. Sinks put in wrong. Roof needed contractor back, lazy cleaning to get to next “job”, over cutting trees at the wrong time of year. Anything for a buck.

It’s all gone downhill for 25 years but now acceleratingly so.

THIS

Not all of us live in wealthy DC enclaves that are immune to the negative impact of unlimited illegals immigration. Some of us actually live in communities where we witness the negative impact on a daily basis. It has affected our lives, our communities and our kids’ schools. We see it every day.

No ridiculous talking points or bogus stats are going to negate what we witness in our own neighborhoods.

So true. Both posts.

Seeing and living with the severe negatives of rampant unskilled, uneducated illegal immigrants every day.
At the schools, on the roads, trashing the neighborhoods, abusing the laws.
See it every day, everywhere here.

Would you like photos of proficiency rates, traffics accidents, trashy front yards of group homes, western union line and Apps remitting cash pay job money weekly?

They are remitting money... Take a second and think about why. They send it home to help buy a farm, a home, a business. Believe it or not, if you can get past your arrogance, but many of them don't actually want to stay here. They don't like living in American cities.

You got it. They’re here for money, plain and simple. They are not here because they’re worried about their safety. Very few have true asylum claims.

They want to make as much money as they can while in the US, send as much money back home as possible and utilize whatever free services the county has to offer.

The correct answers should be a. for people who want to work, to fix our visa program and allow eligible people to come and work legally and in a much more controlled way, and b. for asylum seekers, to fix our broken hearing system so that cases could be heard and adjudicated much more quickly, and ineligible people turned away more quickly.

Expand temp worker visa program - no bring children and wives

Enforce w-2 reported income with big penalties to employers and temp worker employees

Stop citizenship by birth.

Expedite asylum claims at the border. No asylum country shopping.

You're still missing the part where they GO HOME after staying here for a while. And that helps stabilize their communities back home, which means less of them coming here in the future. And as for them "taking free services" so what? There are far more native-born white people not working and collecting food stamps than there are of them, and the aliens aren't even eligible for most US government benefits in the first place. And meanwhile, they work, they pay taxes, they pay rents, they visit local businesses and buy things from them... along with providing cheap labor working jobs that those native-born white people think they are too good for.

They are not paying income tax on all or most of their income

They are not paying market rent for a bed in the floor in a room with others.

They are not out shopping, they are remitting half or more of their black market job money.

They have a hard time finding work in this area because there are so many of them all trying to get the same unskilled jobs with a translator sub-contractor.

That all depends. Who would willingly rent out a house to illegal aliens at submarket rates? That makes zero sense.
Many of them use fake social security numbers, which means they have income, social security and unemployment withheld from their paychecks.
And "not out shopping?" Dude, do YOU shop? I see them at Costco and everywhere else shopping. And as for "having a hard time finding work" you should take a look at who's working in the kitchen at your favorite restaurant, who cleans the hotel rooms, who's on the construction sites, who does maintenance for your office building and everywhere else. You seem either clueless, oblivious, or willfully ignorant and immune to reality.

Slum landlords. They can get off cheap and not keep the place up to code. And they get payment in cash, which they then actually send back to a bank in a different country.

The man that does this in our neighborhood owns several homes that he has made into illegal multi-family rentals. He is also from another country.

It’s become quite common in some areas and the landlords make a ton of money this way.

Oh another racist troll claiming they aren’t racist?!

What is it called when you disparage an entire group of kind, generous and family oriented people by implying that they are inherently trashy? I live in one of these neighborhoods that you are disparaging and my yard is perfectly fine,[img] my local school welcomes all kinds of different families and is stronger because of it [b]and I have more problems with aggressive Tesla drivers than any car driven by a poor immigrant.

Which school? We can easily look it up to see if you are telling the truth.

Have the proficiency rates at your local school improved over the last 10 years? That is fantastic! And we would love to know which school because MCPS is really struggling right now to handle the changing demographics.

Takoma park elementary

Takoma Park leftist idiot

The hypocrisy of the Takoma Park poster is astounding. Sends her kids to a majority White school (not many of those left in MCPS, but she found one of the few) while talking about how the new arrivals make her school ‘stronger’.

Then, once the school gets to a tipping point (maybe somewhere over 50% ESOL students), she’ll pull her kids out of public because the school isn’t a ‘good fit’ anymore for her kids. Or because her kid isn’t being challenged enough.

I have seen this happen with so many hypocritical progressive families.

The ESOL percentage of less than 30 is quite low compared to many schools in MCPS that are dealing with the challenges associated with much higher numbers of new arrivals.

Made even more challenging because they are not just Spanish-speakers. Our school has new arrivals from all over the world whose parents don’t speak English. It is super challenging for the teachers and admin to communicate with parents and the cultural differences are wide.

The school can’t deny kids an education. FWIW, at our school (with a high ESOL rate), I have never been asked for proof of vaccination. They don’t even have an address of record for some of the kids at the school.

So it’s better that they come here against our country’s laws, take money from American workers, send that money to their country of origin, and then leave at some point? Yay.

You're truly hilarious. The whole reason there's demand for them is because American workers won't take those dirty and dangerous jobs, or think those jobs are beneath them. Follow what's going on in Florida due to the new law passed there. Construction sites and other places are empty because the illegals are leaving. And guess what - no Americans are showing up to replace them.

A tight labor market would lift wages at the bottom and force employers to pay more.

As someone who hires people, I love that I can keep wages low due to immigration. I keep the extra money.

Yep. And this is why the influx of illegal immigrants will never abate. It benefits wealthy business owners.

Oh look another racist troll.

There was nothing racist in that post.

So it’s better that they come here against our country’s laws, take money from American workers, send that money to their country of origin, and then leave at some point? Yay.

Unlike you non of us are reading or obsessed with or getting our thoughts from mass media or social media.

Oh another racist troll claiming they aren’t racist?!

What is it called when you disparage an entire group of kind, generous and family oriented people by implying that they are inherently trashy? I live in one of these neighborhoods that you are disparaging and my yard is perfectly fine, my local school welcomes all kinds of different families and is stronger because of it and I have more problems with aggressive Tesla drivers than any car driven by a poor immigrant.

No one’s talking about your specific yard.
We’re talking about all the trashy yards w rusty chain link fences, 4-6 people per bedroom, 5-8 vehicles parked on the grass and drive, constant newcomers showing up to live, no one speaking or reading English or basic rules.

You keep saying this is about illegals, as if that were the case except all involved were US citizens, the code enforcement officials would be descending on them like a SWAT team. Nobody believes you.
