Also it’s good to not normalize this kind of integrity-questionable choice in DC schools. Next thing you know any crook and failed HoS can get the job

Dcum is not nothing. Just ask the Brookings. I think they also broke the Dep Mayor sexual harassment investigation here. Did they make the Mayor act? No, but it was still very helpful.

Scrutiny is this case is necessary and hopefully never goes away.

Who are you talking to? I’m the PP who wrote the OTOH comment and I’m very concerned by this HoS choice. Just to clarify, I think all the facts are on the side of the concerned parents, all the insults seem to be on the “there’s nothing to see here, move along” side (that’s politely paraphrasing a pretty obnoxious attempts to shut up all the naysayers).

Have you done anything about your concerns (other than posting here)? Curious what the response has been from the school on all of these concerns and complaints.

Agreed - if the anonymous posters who have the facts and know their stuff aren't going to come forward in real life and fight the battle against the new HoS, we need journalists or someone else willing to stick their neck out. That nonsensical allegation does a great disservice to the students, families, and faculty left in Whittle's wake. There is nothing theoretical about it; there is a series of FACTS which anyone who is "reasonable" can use to conclude leadership should be unwelcomed at a school of Maret's stature. What an awful decision Maret has made and I am certain there are more than "2%" of parents who agree!
