Does Holton only call accepted families?

FWIW, one school was around 3:30, the others precisely at 4.
This is because they want all kids at home. Many stories of parents showing up at carpool with balloons and the good news while other kids were shut out. Good policy.
While I would never make such a public display, kids are going to find out at some point if their friends got in some place and they did not, and it's going to sting whether they saw balloons or not.

This bubble of kids gets goodies for everything valentines day, nationals game, international day
Most of the privates in DC do not send goodies, at least not in the rounds my older kids applied.
We got swag packages from most of the schools last year.
