The Dawn project was not shown nationally and the visuals and simulations were quite suspect.

Auto driving is in its infancy. Yes there will be incidents, deaths and accidents, but in 50 years the Dawn project will be irrelevant.

Think of the guy who drove off the PCH over a cliff in a Tesla and everyone luckily survived. You can hate on Elon all you want but those cars are incredibly safe.
