For a decade police reform advocates have pushed for police bodycams for accountability. But if I am understanding you, in this case its better not to release them because it will lead to "another bogus allegation"?

First of all- the footage would literally show whether the accusation has merit or not. There is no good argument not to release it.

I personally do not care whether they release the footage or not. But to demand it because of a Twitter accusation from some rando is absurd and basically an admission that this is a witch hunt.
