The fact that you think this is something Republicans worry about (or care about) makes it blindingly clear you have no clue. But it's fun to think you had a gotcha moment, isn't it?
Hint: Republicans are simply sick to death of TALKING ABOUT RACE, period. No one cares what race you are. Well - Democrats care obsessively. But no one else.
Not only are we sick of it, but we are sick of the crime that goes along with being apologists. All races commit crimes but we are letting criminals of color get off with a slap on the wrist in some areas, leading to (wait for it) more crime. Know who that puts most in danger? Good people of color in the same communities and little children
A whole bunch of White people tried to overthrow the government and so far they haven’t gotten any punishment at all. It’s an indictment of your “news” sources that you honestly think that two tiered justice serves minorities.

That’s made up bullshit. You are the ones who make everything about race by banning even one book that gives a black point of view of history, literature, politics, religion, or any topic. Your insistence that the only perspective allowable is school is that of the oppressive conservative white patriarchy is deplorable.
Now this is an example of made up bullshit. Please do link to books that have been banned because they “give a black point of view of any topic.” And no, “Beloved” wasn’t controversial because it was a “black POV.” It was because of the violent rape scenes. We’ll wait while you back up your ridiculous claim.

It’s been in all the news. Ruby Bridges story. John Lewis story. Anything about the history of racial discrimination or civil rights. All are being branded as CRT and attacked by your racist parent mob. You don’t want your kids to know the truth.
Provide links or it didn’t happen. This is just such absolute BS and not at ALL what parents are upset about. But then, you know that.
Why should anyone provide you links you won’t click through to read to news stories you should have already seen? Why should anyone waste their time for you to ignore the results?

I hope teachers quit over this nonsense. Virginia, be prepared for the implosion of your public school system if that happens.
Narrator: The GOP WANTS the implosion of the public school system.
No, but if overtly political teachers chose to quit it wouldn't be a tragedy.
You will be persecuting dozens of nonpolitical teachers who teach legitimate history, literature, etc. that may be uncomfortable to some delusional parents for every actually politically inappropriate teacher you find. There are much better ways to protect students institutionally. A state-sponsored teacher persecution hotline is not something any honorable Governor would do.

Oh they know that all right. That’s why they’re terrified.
Is that why so many of my conservative friends are in inter-racial marriages? Terror? Had no idea!
Exactly. These comments and posters making them are beyond ignorant.

In my school we are actively encouraged to have 'tough talks' about race. We have trainings about it. We have a core group of teachers that meet once a month to talk about these issues. We have our own book club that we can choose to participate in to read and discuss books about race. And guess what? Every teacher in these groups is WHITE, including myself. The school population is about 60% White, with the remainder primarily Black and Hispanic and a small percentage of Asian. Mixed race families are comfortable in the district. We have no interest in pretending that life in the US is without racial tension, discrimination, prejudice, and microaggressions. We believe in teaching our students how to communicate about race with the support of adults in the room.
I am disgusted by how many people seem to think that the comfort level of White kids is so important. I am NOT talking about the teachers that make the news with actions and words that they should have know better to do or say. I'm talking about the daily good people out there who want to see ALL kids succeed in a diverse society. This isn't bias, it's decent humanity. It's not indoctrination, it's dealing with the real society that we live in.
And I can't tell you how glad I am to live in Virginia and not NJ! Wow.![]()
This teacher is why my kid was afraid to call police when sexually harrassed by two black men.
Lol, I do declare ... I'm calling it. This is the lady with the "Starbucks" 25-year-old "kid" who called her mommy from the Reston Starbucks to report that two men were filming her while she was drinking a hot bevy., so now the reason why she froze up and didn't know what to do is because of her second-grade teacher, the one she had 18 years ago, told her to stop being such a Karen and that snitches get stitches. Got it! Thanks for updating us.

I bet you even invite some of them over to dinner, you may not use the good china on them, but you may at least go in for the good paper products, think "Chinette", or some similar off-brand comparable.![]()
