you got what you voted for. Don’t complain.
MoCo needs tax dollars to operate.
Moco is awash in tax dollars -they tax the rain, they tax plastic bags, they tax backpacks, they tax alcohol, they double tax gas, they’re raising property value taxes again. Red states do way more with way less.
This. Democrats are fiscally irresponsible. Everything they touch they ruin.
Exactly. This is why massive, historical amounts of people are moving from mismanaged blue states to red states.
And hopefully you will be joining them soon.
+1.
There is no need to turn this into a red/blue thing here. MCPS is wrong, but MANY MANY (most) blue states are staying open, closing only for staffing issues. Nearly all the democrats I know believe schools should be open. The "close school" people are now very few, and they don't have science on their side, and we probably should ignore them instead of engage, because they have no influence any more.
Quit using COVID as a political wedge against public schools.
I agree with the bolded, but at least in my (very blue, relatively well-off) neighborhood, the "close school" people are very loud and they are absolutely convinced that they have science on their side. I can't even engage with my kid's PTA listserv because it devolved into hysterics about how we must close schools to save our kids.

Biden caught the winter surge last year before vaccines were readily available and then governed for longer during the pandemic than Trump. There's plenty to criticize about the current response, but this talking point is silly.
Trumpers gotta trump!

As they jump into their Prius with a mask to drive… alone.
I sincerely believe that the “close schools now” crowd are Republican operatives trying to duplicate Virginia elections in Maryland.
