Why would they? It's not like a cloth mask makes any real difference and if they're vaccinated and healthy they most likely will have minor symptoms if any. Sorry to disappoint you as you clearly want everyone unmasked to suffer but we won't.
If you follow science you'd know even a crummy cloth mask is better than nothing. You will suffer a lot more with covid than wearing a mask. And, if wearing a mask is causing you distress, you really need to get mental health treatment. Plenty of well made cloth masks available.

Unfortunately, mask have become an ingrained political issue. My completely unscientific opinion/observation is that people are wearing masks as a rejection of Trump and anti-vaccine. It’s not even so much based on science but as an subconscious rejection of that. Trump did so much damage.
I think as the weeks go on you’ll start seeing more and more people take their masks off, just like last time.
We wear masks to keep us and our families safe. Vaccines alone will not stop Covid.

Well, yes. Like any other habit, you get in the habit of doing something, it takes a while to get out of the habit.

I think that you are confused. Virginia, which has a Democratic governor, has a state mask mandate for schools. In contrast, Maryland, which has a Republican governor, ALSO HAS A STATE MASK MANDATE FOR SCHOOLS.
