Sarah? As head coach at Maret?

If so it is a huge get - she one of the best coaches anywhere.

Private schools have got to stop the practice of hiring parent coaches (head or assistant) - they always quit soon after their kid graduates. Yes, looking at you Flint Hill. Not the only school though. Wonder what’s going to happen at SSSAS next year. And there are certainly others. People need to speak up and stop this practice. It’s not healthy and not good practice.

This chat is about the 2022 season. Not a counseling session for school selection. Let’s move on please.

Don't choose a school because of lacrosse. Overall fit is the key and lacrosse is just one factor. Consider the academics, the support the school gives to students (athlete and non-athlete), co-ed vs single sex, and whether that school/environment is actually right for your kid. Talk to current families willing to give you an insiders perspective outside of the happy talk/sell you get from admissions. You want your kid to enjoy and thrive for the next four years.

How about the next couple years for private schools. Are they going to be strong or not, have a daughter in 8th grade and thinking about private schools over public. Can anyone give an honest assessment

PP is correct about the former W&L High School coach taking over Langley. Good luck to all the parents and players with that choice.

Very Good players. My DD plays with them at Capital. Also a good speedy sophomore from Cap who should be recruited to a top school.
