The high number of cases most likely means that we will have experienced the brunt of COVID by this fall and life can mostly return to normal. Other good news is that so many cases are asymptomatic and young people are catching it. The midwest will get hit next and then we will be moving onto election coverage through the fall. My prediction is we have another 2 months left of COVID. If the large number of deaths don't materialize then we will probably move onto election coverage even earlier.
The more cases, the better? Seriously? There’s no proof that contracting the virus gives long-term immunity. It’s not necessarily one-and-done like chicken pox or measles. It hasn’t been around long enough for scientists to know much about the long-term consequences.
Wanting it to be a mild, non-recurring virus doesn’t make it so.

Um the 10 posts above yours are all good news. Vaccine, treatments, positivity rates, immunity. If you can’t see the good news in all those posts you just don’t want to see it.
