I can't believe Wayfarer's biggest fan still can't spell the company name right. He's going to produce under a name his fan can't even get right? Shows how unknown and irrelevant they are.

Because the public cares about Justin Boldoni? LMAO.

I don't think the public really cares at all but Baldoni isn't a household name outside of the lawsuit. He has no professional or public merit to fall back on. I would guess the same 1000 people are probably the only ones wrapped up in this case on social media / reddit / discussion boards. Outside of them and a handful of others, I don't think the public cares. Ryan will be fine. Blake was never a big name and hasn't done much since Gossip Girl and Sisterhood of Travelling Pants over a decade ago. Baldoni isn't even a name outside of this.

Exactly, but that’s what is going to help him. He can continue to produce movies behind the name of Wayfair because most people will not bat an eye.

Whereas Blake actually needs to star in movies because shes an actress. No one is hiring her for directing or producing. I mean no one is hiring her for any thing these day.

The actors and set people who work with him certainly might.

Even if they have some well-connected people in their corner, like the Damons, I don't see other producers and directors liking their behavior.

Their careers are over.

Keep telling yourself that. You think Ryan Reynolds won't be just fine? Who knows about Blake. Her issue is far more that she's aging out of leading lady roles and doesn't have the acting chops to go much further. It's Boldoni who has zero chance of recovering. You have a rep for creating a toxic sexist set--even if colleagues aren't sure about Blake they will believe Jenny Slate--you're done. No investors will chance that liability.

Baldoni and Wayfair are done. Didn’t they lie on their insurance paperwork? I don’t see how they even get insured moving forward (assuming anyone would work with them after this). They are a walking lawsuit at this point.

OK, but they are still working with actors like Scarjo and winning all kinds of awards and have a bunch of films coming out? Sure seems like at this point they’re still doing OK.

I see zero films due out in 2026 and none actually in production either. Everything else was in the can and pre-dated the lawsuit. Nice try though!

Looks like Baldoni has a project in post production, seems possible that is released this year.

I just googled and quickly came up that Wayfarer has a bunch of movies coming out in 2026 and they’re doing a screening later this month so not sure what the PP is talking about

One issue is that Justin is behind the scenes and so Wayfarer will be easier to recover, Ryan and Blake are in front and so their image is going to be harder to recover. The average American following this loosely knows Blake and Ryan, but probably doesn’t recognize the name wayfarer and most people don’t think about the studio when they’re going to see a movie. think about the last couple films that you saw do you know if it’s Paramount or Sony or who produced it? Most people don’t. Whereas if you really don’t like an actor, you’re not going to see the movie.

Where are you seeing these? Which website?

I literally just went to Google and that’s what the search engine produced. It didn’t go to a website just a list of things I guess Google AI?

I used Google AI and still don’t see anything listed.

The deposition excerpts have been released and this is not the case at all. Do you even read the documents? For that matter, follow the arguments being made on this thread?

«In court documents, obtained by TMZ, text messages sent by one of the film's stars, Jenny Slate, show she didn't want to do anything with Justin or his "truly unprofessional" business partner Jamey Heath back in 2023 -- the year the film began production.

Slate wrote, "This has really been a disturbing shoot, and I'm one of many who feel this way, and Blake and I have both complained directly to Ange [production executive Andrea Giannetti] at Sony (and they agree w us btw). Justin is truly a false ally and I'm unwilling to do anything that promotes the image that he's crafting as a 'male feminist' ... like ... honestly I have no words to describe what a fraud he is."

She continued ... "I honestly have never ever encountered anything like this dude. He's the biggest clown and the most intense narcissist."

Later in a deposition, Slate is quoted as saying, "Justin and Jamey freak me out." According to the deposition transcript, Slate was concerned about how much "crap" Lively had to take from Justin and Jamey, and accused the two men of telling "weird lies."

Additionally, an email sent from "It Ends With Us" author Colleen Hoover to Sony on July 14, 2024, shows that she was reluctant to show up at the premiere.

She wrote, "Am I going to be comfortable if Justin is there? No, things are beyond uncomfortable at this point."

Actress Isabela Ferrer was asked in a deposition about filming an intimate scene involving two teenagers, after which she says Baldoni commented on it being "hot" ... Ferrer said "It didn't feel appropriate in a work environment," and didn't feel like a note about her acting, saying it was out of place and "personal."

Are there any actresses backing up Boldoni on this production? Sure doesn't sound like it.

The Isabel stuff seems less relevant to me, especially after that glowing text she sent about how safe and comfortable she felt, the video of her trying to hug him after the scene and him stepping back and high-fiving her instead because he clearly was trying to cross every T and dot that every i at that point. And the fact that Blake did promise her something in the PGA letter. So I’m not saying I don’t believe her but these allegations don’t seem particularly salacious - We know Isabella and Alex were cast because they are attractive and appealing, and you wanted the audience to feel a certain way. They had a sexy scene for a reason, come on. The director was clearly trying to illicit that so commenting that he got what he wanted does not seem strange or out of place.

There could be something with the Jenny stuff but it’s just also vague. She clearly hated the guy, but why. I love how she’s like “I have no words”, but Jenny could maybe you put some words together and tell us why they were so creepy? are you going on vibes? honestly I really like Jenny but it’s all these months out and we’re just getting these really really vague statements - like what did they do?

You get really vague statements when there is nothing specific to talk about, except apparently amidst her telling sexually explicit jokes, she found time to be upset about his use of the word sexy.

If a co-worked called me sexy, especially if he was in a position of authority over me (producer/director) I'd be in our HR office in 2 minutes flat. That is unacceptable and you know it.

But what if you are in a movie that was supposed to be sexy to literally sell tickets? And Sony execs were telling you you needed to bring the heat? And it needed to be hotter? And People‘s wardrobe needed to be sexier? Would it bother you so much then? Context matters here.

There was pressure on production to and Blake and others were game. Blake sent a text to Justin saying she was changing part of her wardrobe because she wanted it to be sexier so it was common place on the set to talk like that.

The Blake bots cannot distinguish from acceptable behavior at their 9 to 5 and the set of a R rated movie with sex scenes. Sex scenes that are also in the book.

Are you back? I thought to finally left this thread. Did school just let out?

Aren't these the three core actresses in the cast, and all refused to do promotion with him?

Yea because their Queen Bee leader decreed it be so. Even Sony blamed Blake for this. Blake was working on this from preproduction on. And boy does Slate grovel at her feet. Her cross will really be something if she testifies at all.

Slate is on the record, during production and promotion, independent of Blake. He told a 20-something her sex scene was "hot"? Gross, gross, gross.

Ferrer also had an issue with Baldoni taking the young Atlas actor aside and telling him he hopes he gets to know Isabel better and winking. She felt it was a sexual comment. I don't know that it's so bad on its own but then you combine that with him asking if they've been practicing the sex scene because it was hot, and she was quite upset by that.

She was also upset about Baldoni wanting her to look cookie dough off a spoon suggestively. That one I think sounds overblown, but there really must be something about Baldoni that really is a turn off IRL because comments like this and the "sexy" comment get such reactions when they are not THAT bad on paper, so it's interesting how he will play to a jury. The consensus against him seems to be near unanimous.

Keep up, the cookie dough lick came directly from the book.

Yes, but my understanding is that it wasn’t in the script. So adding it, in light of all the other comments/how Justin seems to present things, could easily make a younger actress uncomfortable.

Context matters. There is a huge difference between saying a particular scene is supposed to come across as sexy to the audience and saying someone on set is sexy (outside of describing a scene or character).

Which I said was overblown. But Ferrer read the book 3 times, and was still offended by that, so it must be Baldoni, not the content. He must have some kind of anti-charisma which turns women off.

I know there is a subset of women that love bad boys (hence all the prison romances) but it really isn't a good look.

Their depositions will in all likelihood demonstrate consistency re: the SH claims. It's not just Blake, and not just Jenny.

It surprises me how many posters are so defensive of Justin.

I think if you took all the statements and complaints of the women on set and presented them anonymously and away from this lawsuit, few would see Justin / Jamey as appropriate bosses who are just maligned / misunderstood men - or work so hard to defend them.

I know there is a subset of women that love bad boys (hence all the prison romances) but it really isn't a good look.
