Highest level for many is highest academic. Also, many have no desire to deal with big rosters, transfer portal competition and lots of 5th year grad transfers. Ivies do not allow 5th year and rarely use transfer portal. Players have their own personal goals which is not always a BC, UNC, Maryland type of school just because they do well in lax. Many players put in just as much hardwork for school work as they do for lax training. In fact for many the academics are way more important than the lax championship or ranking. You clearly do not have a high academic achieving student because you seem to be having a hard time wrapping your head around this idea.

But will this Capital 29 team even play higher brackets? If half are from BLC? The Capital 27s are ranked 20 something and not playing against good teams.

Maybe I want something different for my daughter than all others. I want a top academic school. I could give A sh@t about D1 ranking. Cap seems great for that. Rankings be damned.

I'm with you. I'll take the Harvard, Vanderbilt, or Georgetown degree over a championship at Florida.

Harvard, Vanderbilt, and Georgetown all have a goal of winning a championship.

Any player should be thrilled to play for any of these 4 schools. You’ll find out in a couple years…

It’s 3 and who said any player wouldn’t? Every school is fighting to win so the “my kid just wants to go to a good academic school” cop out is getting old.

You’re a tool.

Great comeback!

In fairness to the OP, she didn't say anything about what her kid would like to do. Just her own plans. To wit:

"Maybe I want something different for my daughter than all others. I want a top academic school. I could give A sh@t about D1 ranking."

Capital coaching seems to be falling off, but maybe that’s just coaching everywhere these days

There are some very good academic options available outside the top 25. Arguably more so than on the men's side.

Womens RPI ranking 5/25/25:
26 Harvard
28 Brown
30 Cornell
31 Notre Dame
35 USC
53 Georgetown
58 Vanderbilt
64 BU
80 Columbia

Men's 25+
35 Penn
39 Brown

Three of the women’s D1 programs above are top 25 - keep up.

Ok, you got me! I clearly stated this was RPI and included the reference link. Are you adding anything of substance to this thread or just salt?

Well you keep making references to polls that mean absolutely nothing so I’m here for you.

No, Cap Blue 2029s won’t play in the top brackets, the few really elite kids there should have gone to better teams.

But none of the others listed, right?

I'm sorry your kid didn't make Capital Blue. Just dial up your xanax dose and wine intake.
