In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter... your kid and my kid are probably destined for Division 3 schools. The difference? Your child might have their spirit crushed and constantly feel like they're not good enough. I'm not trying to raise the next soccer superstar; I'm just aiming for decent human beings. So go ahead, have a drink or do whatever floats your boat, but spare yourself the agony of sending anonymous messages... lol.

There's still a small chance. Nothing has officially come out from MLSN on adding LS but MLSN is known for not saturating the market. so unless they believe the quality of players is there for 2 MLSN teams in the county, that's the only way VRSC gets it too. MLSN does want to grow which is why they now have MLSN2.
The other option is for VRSC to go after the ECNL void left by LS joining GA. If they can't get ECNL or MLSN, the boys program won't grow. The boys that play for VRSC will be the ones who enjoy the game and aren't serious about playing in college.
LMAO, direktor put the bottle down bruh

So impressive to see Loudoun and NVA being selected for MLS next. Should neighboring clubs even bother fielding male teams after U12?

You can only body check players off the ball and blast the ball down the field for the sprinter on the team for so long in soccer.

Maybe something positive to focus on would be the amount of women’s soccer talent in the DMV, and especially in the Loudoun County area. Not sure what the future holds, but GA and ECNL must realize that this is the hot bed. Why else would there be so much drama. Peeps…enjoy the ride.
The drama is about the money not the talent. There really isn’t a lot of talent. Most of the best potential gets out early. There’s no team play in the system. Those that actually learn team play are few and guess what, they get recruited. TSJ and VRSC coaches have success with this and as a result their players are sought. LS focuses on kids that are fast early which reinforces playing the wrong way. As they get older, they struggle. Pay to play gets in the way.
You can't be more right. I’ve seen this so often, it’s practically on replay. Once, an LS coach told me, “I can’t teach speed,” which was my light bulb moment that he might be in the “teaching” the wrong sport. Soccer is not like other sports; it is not just about speed and how big you are… Nothing will change until we, and yes, that includes nearly everyone here, stop obsessing over winning at the age of six and start focusing on genuinely developing athletes. And don’t get me started on the pay-to-play model and the endless leagues. Do we really need that many leagues? I know, I know... it’s all about Benjamins. In the end, there’s a fortune to be made in kids' sports.
What do your rev coaches teach that teams can go entire season with zero goals scored? Amusing!
