I don't think you are the only one who thinks this. I think you are unempathetic and lack an understanding of human psychology and emotional and physical abuse cycles and how all that impacts a person, which is definitely nice for you.

However, per Cassie’s own admission, she participated in freakoff sessions with male escorts when Diddy wasn’t around or was working. She also mentioned she had her own apartment, was able to travel and fly by herself, and that she didn’t want Diddy choosing another girl in her place so she participated in the freakoffs to make him happy.
There is evidence of trafficking. Cassie has detailed at least 12 escorts that were allegedly paid to travel for Freak Off’s.

Other relationships is a big hurdle for her to clear. Her testimony is she participated in unbelievably degrading acts because she feared what Diddy would do to her, but yet cheated on him? Wouldn't she have feared he'd beat her up for cheating too?
She comes across as very credible. She's admitted to doing some pretty horrific things. She also testified that while she was dating her current husband, she agreed to meet with Diddy for what was supposed to be a "closure" dinner. They went back to her place (or maybe his, i cant remember) and that's when he raped her. She said no, but she said he was different this time and wouldn't stop. She then admitted to having sex with him one more time after that. She also said since then she had been in touch with him from time to time. She seems to have a really strong relationship and her husband has been very vocal in support of her, and women in general.
I know the defense is going to try to tear her to shreds. She seems healed and strong now; hopefully, the prosecutors have prepared her well.
She comes across as very credible? Hmm, after years of abuse from a man, and while she's dating her current husband, she for some reason agrees to meet with her former abuser for a "closure dinner?" Of course the defense is going to rip her to shreds, and so they should.
This woman needs some serious therapy!
If you paid attention to the testimony, you would know she's gone to trauma therapy. Of course someone in her position needs therapy for trauma, but you're just being a jerk.
No I'm not being a jerk. Rational thinking people DO NOT go out to dinner with someone who has abused them, get raped by them and then have sex with them again at a later time, and keep in touch with the abuser from time to time, unless they have kids together. Women need to stop trying to rationalize this weird behaviour.
She does however, have my sympathy but she's obviously missing something.

According to Cassie, it was she with Diddy and paid male escorts. She has never testified that other celebrities or politicians were included in the freak-offs. She testified that this turned him on and was a secret he only admitted to her. She did testify that they would go to sex clubs sometimes and that sometimes the male escorts they were familiar with would accompanyy them.Anonymous wrote:So where did Diddy's stash of blackmail tapes go? Imagine all the celebs and politicians on those tapes going back 25 years.

Ugh. I think he’s a freak, and a monster but I will be surprised if he is convicted.

Whenever I see people defending the kink community, I think this is the other side of it. Maybe they are consenting adults. Or maybe they are people who have been groomed and have a lot of trauma that are caught in a cycle where they can’t meaningfully consent.
In college I personally witnessed female peers in that 18 to 22 year old range willing sleep with groups of male athletes and male fraternity brothers and random boys from our dorm halls. They were consenting young adults regularly having unprotected group sex. Most of them are married with kids and I assume their spouses have no clue what they did 25 years ago.
Honestly, after seeing that in college the Diddy details really don’t shock me at all. Diddy is an obvious lifelong homosexual who displaces self hate onto women.
Not to mention Cassie was upwards of 30 years old while this continued. If she's the key witness, this is a joke. It's all detestable and gross but what felony crimes is she detailing? I want him to go to prison because he's a monster but it almost seems like the fix is in if this is all the gov presents.

That logic doesn't hold up. She said they were both with other partners. He forced her into nonconsensual sex with prostitutes for HIS KINK/needs. He was irate when she didn't want to continue for HIS NEEDS. That has nothing to do with what else she did outside the relationship.
I think the idea is that he exercised coercive control over her with threats to her physical safety and her life. She testified that he paid her rent for everywhere she lived, except one home. That he beat her, and she knew he carried weapons, etc. The implication is that she had to go along with the orgies because of his enormous control and her fear for her safety. OTOH it is hard to believe a person who is so controlled and lives in such fear would also cheat on the person outside the relationship, or even have the opportunity to do so. I get it, it's complicated and he was abusive... but this is a standard of beyond a reasonable doubt.
