They have known since the day of the killing how BB set it in motion, but, nothing puts knife in his hand, so far. Shot in defense of wife, AP fired the kill shot, so far, he skates.

Yes but if the ruse involved BB at all, wouldn’t that mean he was at least partly involved in setting up this tryst? If BB was supposed to be a part of the tryst, his story of AP accidentally catching JR killing his wife is shot to pieces.
