DP who conceived via IVF. Actually, there’s a subset of politicians and “pro-life” groups who are advocating for very strict control over, if not outright banning of, procedures associated with IVF. I follow several of the national infertility organizations online (namely Resolve and ASRM), and they are trying to encourage advocacy and awareness as to how some of these new laws and policies will impact the infertility community.
I know of couples in TX and LA who are trying to get their embryos transferred to other locations.

The point is solely to get votes. Look at how many candidates change their abortion rhetoric when it is no longer getting votes.
Most of them do not actually care if a women does or does not receive an abortion. What kind of fool does not realize that?

They have them at the same rates as other women and the male Republicans have no problems with their wives, girlfriends and AP having them (or forcing them to have them). I’m trying to figure out what kind of fool you are that you think we should ignore the fact that they’ve made women into non-citizens in many states and will do so across the country if people are stupid enough to vote for them.

I only have to worry about the Catholic church because they insist on getting involved in politics, openly politicking from the pulpit and via their hospitals, for whom many women there is no other choice. That is not religion, that is involving themselves in politics and other people’s personal business.

+1. Abortion has everything to do with economics, as any mom whose struggling to pay the bills (or even any mom who can readily pay the bills) can tell you. The billionaires want us desperate so they can exploit us for slave wages (see recent Koch lawsuit against student loan relief), and the Catholics want to traffic our babies through their publicly funded, highly discriminatory adoption “charities”.

Because I believe an impeachment and removal takes 2/3 of congress or some such and Republicans don’t care about honor, only power. They don’t care that all six of their apocalyptically stupid and amoral judges lied. They’re getting the judgments that matter to them. And who’s going to hold their feet to the fire? The “mainstream” (softcore GOP) media that has spent two years torpedoing Biden because they miss their Trump-era clicks? The GOP voters who are as craven as the people they vote for?
