PP's point is likely that this shutdown will disproportionately impact Democrats. For instance, Democrats are much more likely to fly for leisure than Republicans, so they'll notice these hiccups first. Same with SNAP, Democrats will notice the pause in SNAP first, and uh, react (in)appropriately.

So why Democrats are using a shutdown for leverage, when their own people are disproportionately impacted raises a lot of questions.

The PP is clearly operating under the assumption that all Blacks are lazy and poor and all Whites are hardworking patriots. This simple-minded and low-IQ mental shortcut causes them to ignore the fact that the plurality of SNAP recipients are White, and, indeed, that there are 37% more White recipients of SNAP than Black recipients of SNAP.

Skin color is not a predetermining factor in who receives SNAP benefits you racist fool.

What they are saying is that SNAP beneficiaries disproportionately make up a key component of the Democratic base. MAGA voters won't feel it nearly as much because most are not on SNAP.

Snap recipients aren't "Republicans" or "Democrats". They are poor people. Besides, who in 2025 is still identifying as a "Republican" or "Democrat". I would be very upset with someone if they insulted me with those awful labels.
