The housing shortage is because foreign rich billionaires are buying empty apartments in the city that aren’t even rentals. They just keep the homes for summer or business trips

I’ve asked this before here but why are you so threatened by 1 test grocery store located in a food desert (ie meaning no private grocery store is operating there) in each borough? Do you just read the FOX headlines (or Cuomo robocalls)? Why NOT try something new?

It's not new. It has failed basically everywhere it's been tried. It's new to you because you, like nearly everyone else in the West, didn't study economic history.

History is evidence. Just because you don't like it or are unfamiliar with it, doesn't mean history isn't a useful guide. You think this hasn't been tried before? Do you think it's an original idea? If not, why run a pilot program where we already know the results.

I don't need a pilot program on wealth taxes to know how those work either because I know what happened in France when they tried to install them.
