Anomalously, Emerson poll of likely voters (LV) finds Trump approval relatively stable, only net -8

Trump made 1.4 billion this year.

His MAGA idiots can’t even pay for healthcare.

They have lost jobs. Their overtime is being taxed.

But, Trump is doing great because he is getting rid of all the illegals.

How has getting rid of some illegal immigrants really improved your life?

He really hasn’t help any of the dirt poor in red states.

I’d Really love to know.

I've been waiting for data like this. Every time a poll says "Republican support for Trump remains about the same," I've wondered, yeah, but how many former supporters just don't say they are Republican anymore?

That's not fair. Nixon didn't have a propaganda network of TV channels and churches.

Related: Roger Ailes, a media consultant for Nixon, started Fox News to be the propaganda network that Nixon never had.

Hopefully they’re just trying to grift as much as possible while they can and don’t have the numbers to meaningfully impact the elections.

I can’t imagine what the GOP strategy is if it’s not to try to tamper with the 2026 elections so they win unfairly. They’re as popular as the corona virus.

The president's net approval rating is -19%,
down 2.0 points since last week.
37% approve, 56% disapprove, 5% not sure

There's a rolling average.

This week features Trump's first ever single Economist poll with -20% net favorability.

New polling data shows that it's getting increasingly embarrassing to identify as a Republican, and some Trump voters are slinking away and pretending it never happened.

2. Leaving aside point 1, if it was wrong/bad for the country for Democrats to "ignore Biden's decline and do nothing" (which seems to be what many Republicans believe) then why would Republicans want to engage in doing the wrong thing now when it is their guy in a similar situation? Surely most of us would tell our kids, if it is a bad thing for your brother to do but he "gets away with it" once that still does not mean you should do it if you get a chance. Why not strive to actually do what you believe is the right thing?

I was just on the phone with my Dad- an ardent Trump supporter- he still thinks Trump is the smartest man in America. Said it to me 20 minutes ago. But he also doesnt see/hear anything other than pro-Trump propoganda. I was listening to the SC oral arguments Trump v Cook and he asked me what I was listening to. Told him and he said good, he should fire him.

I corrected him that its a "her" and that it is alleged misconduct/negligence and his reply was "If firing her makes the interest rates go down, we will all be better for it".
I even retorted that the Fed Reserve is supposed to be free from pressure based on political whims. All Presidents want low interest rates but you cant manipulate them to serve what you want. Thats not how it works.

THEY DONT CARE. This short-sighted, its someone else's problem, I want mine outlook is why we are here.

Biden didn't have a team that was craven in its power to abuse the system or targeted Americans. In fact, the Biden Administration bent over backwards to give red states more of the IRA and other monies passed by the Congress.

Regardless of how "with it" or not Biden was, he left our country in a better place than what he inherited from Trump.

Trump has undone the economy and global standing in one short year.
