1. Does the degree to which Trump seems to be "out of it" or "losing his mind" truly seem less or equal to Biden?
2. Leaving aside point 1, if it was wrong/bad for the country for Democrats to "ignore Biden's decline and do nothing" (which seems to be what many Republicans believe) then why would Republicans want to engage in doing the wrong thing now when it is their guy in a similar situation? Surely most of us would tell our kids, if it is a bad thing for your brother to do but he "gets away with it" once that still does not mean you should do it if you get a chance. Why not strive to actually do what you believe is the right thing?
I was just on the phone with my Dad- an ardent Trump supporter- he still thinks Trump is the smartest man in America. Said it to me 20 minutes ago. But he also doesnt see/hear anything other than pro-Trump propoganda. I was listening to the SC oral arguments Trump v Cook and he asked me what I was listening to. Told him and he said good, he should fire him.
I corrected him that its a "her" and that it is alleged misconduct/negligence and his reply was "If firing her makes the interest rates go down, we will all be better for it".
I even retorted that the Fed Reserve is supposed to be free from pressure based on political whims. All Presidents want low interest rates but you cant manipulate them to serve what you want. Thats not how it works.
THEY DONT CARE. This short-sighted, its someone else's problem, I want mine outlook is why we are here.
