He advocated for period products in every bathroom because of transgenderism. THAT'S what repubs are upset about. Just call it what it is, cowards.
I grew up in the 80's and 90's. Funny how this was never a topic one would even consider talking about which shows you have crazy things have become.
The 80s was 40+ years ago. This is like being shocked that values became more progressive in the 1980s compared to the 1940s.
Beyond your crazy time perception, can you explain how having menstrual products available in mens rooms hurts anyone? It can only help right? Can you explain the harm being done?
First is cost. How many people using the boy's bathroom will even need access to these products? Why not have them available at the nurse's office in case someone needs it? The second issue is boys will be boys and will most likely mess with the products. I read about one middle school where they ripped the dispenser off the wall in less than an hour of being placed in the boy's bathroom.
These concerns seem so minor compared to the reactions from the right-wing. Are you really this pissed off that boys might act like idiots in the bathrooms? If that’s what you’re worried about, why not address behavior issues in boys instead of blowing up a thread on a VP pick?

And be crystal clear that you have no compassion for trans kids, who have a far higher suicide rate than average and require support and kindness, not derision. As importantly, how about you just MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.
There are a lot of things to like about Tim Walz but his kindness and empathy are at the top for me. As an educator, he knows the obstacles a hungry belly and issues of social difference pose to learning and achievement. He will do whatever he can to address children’s needs and help them. Sorry the right hates the existence of trans kids but he understands trans boys need period products and supplying them hurts exactly no one. He is a good man. Wish some on the right would listen and learn from him.
Yeah, erring on the side of tolerance and kindness is so hard for these people.
Because you are so tolerant and kind to those practicing their freedom of religion? Seriously --- tolerance and kindness is a two-way street as is respect - a two-way street.

We deserve freedom from your religion. I have no problem with you practicing your religion- just stop trying to force everyone else into adopting its principles too.
