ME? blah blah. That would apply if the WHOLE TEAM wasn’t going. Would apply in any other club but FVU. The reason the 10s are short on players is because of that very person. Smart ones left… i expect the same will happen with this team not that that the staff cares. We are beyond burnt bridges lol. Folks have reached no fks given what is the team’s recourse status.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:no it was called earlier by another poster. Shout outto the girls attending this “waste of time”. Hopefully you all get some attention from the recruiters there and prove silly staffers wrong.
Lets go DMV!
So are you saying its a waste of time because Howard is attending? Amazing how people act behind keyboards.
What about the handful of FVU 2011s going with the 2010s? Who is the joke on now?
Wow. Was it an invite based on skill or whoever’s parents complained the loudest.
It was probably the clubs back pocket parents. The club is keeping the select few parents happy so they continue to give them money in exchange for their kids playing time.
Coach ducked practice today and the other one was described as making a b line after practice. I assume it was to catch a flight vs avoiding parents but who knows.
You must be a joy to be around. Calling kids names, stalking coaches…. No wonder they didn’t invite your DD. My guess is YOU are the problem your kids face in their youth soccer journey. You probably don’t even recognize that bad parent behavior can alienate a coach to your children. Hopefully you learn before it kills your kids chances. If bet you won’t.

The rest of the FVU 2011's that don't get to go.
We did you a favor letting you know here. Helps everyone break the ice at practice. Now can we see the strongly worded email?

Where RU now?
From what I heard it was a good win for Arl not just because of the ranking but they were missing a couple (a few?) of key players for different reasons so the rest of team had to step up and the bench players got a lot more playing times than they normally would have.
The National player on RU generally plays with 2009 so the team has been winning all season long mostly without her and solid performance all season long.
Oh, you heard?
Arlington dad, congrats on the win.
Both teams were missing their best player. Not worth mentioning though since they probably cancel eachother out.
Catching up on this thread and I have to say, I don't agree with this statement. We spend a lot of time on this board trashing the USYNT process, so I would be careful about assigning anyone "best player status" based on that recognition alone. Unless you work for top drawer or another pay to play site who almost exclusively uses this designation to rank players.
This isn't meant to disparage either player, but rather point out that both teams have some extremely talented players and neither team could consistently perform at the level they do without a number of strong players. I would say, arguably, a handful on either squad, as well as a number of teams across the country have talent at the USYNT level that are not getting an invite. For example, Michigan Hawks and Concorde Fire aren't performing as top teams in the nation with one star player. Additionally, just backing out the mid-Atlantic conference from the roster, there are 2 players from Courage and only 1 each from RU and ARL - while not unbelievable, is a little odd.
In the end, it boils down how much pull the club has within the USYNT system, which player a club decides to back and talent of the chosen player.
I know both teams very well. Those 2 are definitely the best players on each team.
Sorry your DD isn’t getting the recognition you feel she deserves.
LOL. Per dad of one of those 2 players.
Probably. Arlington is very quickly becoming a marketing machine for one player.
That parent is very influential.
