The only vaguely interesting thing was Aidan sleeping with his ex and that got brushed away to focus on LTW's father's theatrical funeral, which was just dumb. And sad, sad Bitsy not getting invited to the usual Rich Lady stuff.
Obviously he will be ultra jealous of Downstairs Writer Guy and that will be the rest of the season. Yawn.
Is Bitsy’s character still supposed to be married to Nathan Lane’s? That was such a great episode (their wedding).

1. She bought it as a home for Aidan too, doesn’t want to decorate it alone. Can’t wait 5 years obviously, so this will be a plot point. She decides to move forward, hopefully by the end of this season.
2. He’s in the season preview. Don’t think in reality friend group would completely drop him, however. Actor busy filming Chicago Fire, too.
3. Seema is hot and glamorous, many would be physically attracted. Not to her personality though, too abrasive. Gardner has strong sense of self, can keep up with her sharp wit. When we finally saw her soften and genuinely smile, was lovely.
4. Yeah, I posted upthread can’t be pulled off in middle age. She needs to tone down.

2. Seema does not have $$$ after being an equity holder at a successful NY RE agency and selling RE for years…?
3. Some scenes are out of context and feel like they’ve been written solely for some punchline…
They should have instead explored:
>Retirement planning (investing, second homes, thoughts on relocating, importance of financial independence)
>Carrie/Lizette (is Carrie’s dating experience still relevant? How have norms changed?)
>staying fit and healthy
>managing parent care
>and fun, Carrie’s house decorating (trends vs making it her own)
>plastic surgery /aging naturally
>NYC vs London /Paris (it’s good to come home)
>running into old bfs (Trey with four kids, Petrovsky with a new “muse”, Steve becoming buff mount climbing instructor and dating…)
Plastic surgery was briefly explored with carrie, wasn’t it? Same with second homes (when Carrie bailed on going in with Seema).
Agree story lines are just thrown in and then they dip out without further discussion. Harry’s dad, the neighborhood ask app, Carrie’s driver’s license, college app prep for the teens, etc.

In the white jumpsuit before the party, Carrie had flats on. Thought she never wore flats.
We hear bits of Carrie’s novel…no legit author is telling her it is amazing. It is not.
Breadshop’s boyfriend’s mom would not be so rude. Carrie wouldn’t have planned to meet her without first - on her own - telling Anthony. His acting when he realized he was actually meeting the mom for the first time was horrible.
It’s a mess and I am mad at myself That I am wasting time on it. I’d have more respect for the writers if they let interns write it for the exposure and experience. At least then, something good would come out of it.

1. She’s grieving and traumatized, and I don’t think she loves this place as much as she wanted to. It’s huge. You’ll notice she’s decorated corners of the place, like a cocoon.
2. His character isn’t important right now. He’s a side character to one of the main characters and a side character to a side character (Brady) I do agree though, poor Steve!
3. Seema wants it all, but I think she’s also deep down very insecure. I think she is finding out through the gardener that maybe the things she thought mattered, actually don’t.
4. She’s regressed as an actress. I know she had work done, then reversed, but she needs to just stop with the faces.
