Game - High intensity and tons of pride on the field. Kids laid it all out there, which was great to see. Lots of talent, of course. SJC was really impressive. Kids had a ton of skill mixed in with a few very good athlete.
I think the event could really become a thing in coming years. As mentioned on other posts, would like to figure out how to incorporate the in-close publics as well.
Best Coach - SJC HC. Not close. The whole staff is really good too. Adjusts really well and gets match-ups all night.
Dumbest Coaching Move - Not starting goalie that had played all year for Prep..what were the Prep coaches thinking? Maybe he threatened to head back to Canada if he didn't start..(kidding, but he is from Canada)
SJC Impressive - 1, 42, 31, Navy middie 9??, and SSDM going to Cuse
Prep Impressive - 10, 1, 5
Too Much Drama - 44 SJC; 5 Prep. Every time you turned around those guys were treating a great game like soccer. Just play boys...you both are too good for all that.
Most Impressive Unit - SJC Def. They are all sort of smallish, but god can they play. Really good sticks. Play as a unit. Well coached and high IQ. Fun to watch.

I believe, though I am not sure, SJC finished on top of the local lacrosse world for the first time ever. They still lost to a Taft Team that might not be the best team in NE. Prep, Landon, and Gonzaga have all ascended to the top of the National Landscape, as have many teams in the MIAA. SJC, you got close this year. Congratulations to you for a great 20-21 season. Let's all remember more Americans are making a decent living as writers than as lacrosse players and many more students attend great colleges because of their SAT scores than for their Lacrosse IQ.
It is great that the boys and girls got to play a game many of them love.
See you next year.

How many kids on their lacrosse team are from a 10 - 12 mile radius of the school.
Probably not a lot if any

I'm not following your logic at all here. In my opinion the IAC was pretty deep this year.
Prep was clearly the top dawg in the IAC this Spring. After that, Landon, Bullis and Saint Stephens were all fairly even. I'd probably give the slight edge to Landon out of the 3 as they appeared to improve the most as the season progressed.
Anyways, congrats to SJC for a great season. Prep had one of their best teams in several years this Spring (beating league rival Landon 4x in one season, knocking off Bullis 2x) are all impressive wins.
SJC is the real deal, they have the athletes, and are very well coached. Its great for the DC area as a whole to have another super strong program. I expect the CADETS are here to stay. Congrats to their players and coaches on a great season.
And before anyone tries to knock them and say, they wouldn't be able to compete with the top programs in the MIAA, you either have sour grapes or you are clueless.
Overheard someone saying that Corrigan wants to add the MIAA to this end of the year tournament next year. Hope that happens so the DMV can put to bed who they best lacrosse league in the area is. I doubt it will end up being a positive experience for the MIAA.
Congrats SJC. This shows that it was an incredibly down year for the IAC compared to years past. Maybe covid, talent, coaching or some combo, but not as strong as usual.
