People are struggling. Some had a rough time during COVID, and some are having a rough time with Trump right now. Wages for most Americans have pretty much been stagnant while the rich keep getting richer. Housing costs keep rising, grocery costs keep rising, healthcare costs keep rising yet wages are stagnant and the middle class is getting beat down. All the other issues pale in comparison.
As Carville once best said it, "it's the economy, stupid."
Economic populism is the key to the Dems future
As it is for the Republicans. The D vision is "free everything for everyone, paid for by rich people". The R vision is "lower taxes, more $ in your pocket to spend as you like" instead of "we'll take your money through higher taxes and redistribute it to get more votes". So far, the R vision is prevailing.
The problem is republicans have gone batshit crazy. They can’t just focus on trying to run a country efficiently. They have to try and control citizens. They should not be in the business of women’s reproduction and what they can do and when and where. They aren’t helping the country’s economy by censoring books read by students. Let them learn that everyone doesn’t live in a Christian house, there are all kinds of people.
Republicans need to stop trying to ban gay parades and drag performances. Worse, stop trying to remove trans children from their homes.
The republicans have lost their focus. Their reputation is in the toilet. It’s become impossible to respect them anymore and that’s too bad.
You sound batshit crazy yourself. Go back and read your post and ask yourself if that is how you meant it to come across.

The majority of Palestinians think there’s no innocent Israeli either. Regardless of the unpopularity of Hamas and Bibi, they still have a broad coalition of support even after 10/7 if for no other reason then they are actually the moderate voices of both right wings which is scary to think about
Until 2017 Hamas’ charter called for the massacre of all Jews no matter where they were in the world. In other words, not just Israeli Jews - though that’s bad enough. But all Jews. That’s the definition of genocide and the representation Palestinians voted for and continue to support.
Cool story, bro.
Now do the opening sections of the Likud charter, both at inception and today. You know, the preamble that calls for the death and destruction of all non-Jews in the Middle East.
Once you’re done, crawl back into the hole you came from.

Why do you not feel the same about your hard-earned money going to Israel? Over the past decades, Israel has received over 300 BILLION dollars in US taxpayer money. Why do you not have an issue with that?
The most vocal critics of Mamdani are Zionists, yet they always stay silent when this is raised. New York ranks #1 of all US cities in terms of highest amount of taxes being sent to Israel.
Exactly. It is despicable. People attacking him and AOC and Bernie - who were legitimately elected by Americans- while supporting a foreign countries involved in our govt

What does it say when the upper class are the working class? There’s no difference in the classes if everyone’s in debt and living paycheck to paycheck. 80% of Americans are.
What does it say when an upper class kid goes to a lefties slac, gets a useless studies major, graduates with no job, moves to the Bronx and has their parents pay their rent, don’t like any of the jobs- wage or salary, become a community activist, complain and lives off donated donor funds.

He's a state Assemblyman. That's an impressive role for someone the age he was when he started / won that election.

DP. I see this stuff and just feel hopeless for our country. A tax cut is the same thing as a government expenditure. This is very basic stuff. What you’re describing is the same vision but in one scenario the everyone is the wealthy.
Less tax revenue is not the same as government spending. It's less government revenue and consequently less government spending. Reduced taxation also means more money kept by taxpayers, to spend as they like, or to invest, or to save for a rainy day or for some other purpose.

What are the things you like about him?
Dp but I like that he has new ideas and he’s running for something not against something.
Mainline Democrats had no ideas since Obamacare and 15 dollar minimum wage, and even that took pulling teeth. The federal minimum wage is still 7.25 despite 12 years of Democrat presidencies, health insurance premiums and deductibles are higher than ever, and Democrats somehow send billions to Israel and Ukraine and Wall street bailouts yet had no money for student loan bailouts or foreclosure bailouts. They let big tech charge additional fees to Americans for cellular phone and internet bills but give illegal migrants free government phones and utilities.
Lol.
Were you born yesterday? Or just never read anything or never paid attention to anything - books, history, facts, news, people.
Gawd how k-12 and colleges have failed everyone the last 15 years.
