Someone needs to teach the lefty cavs attacker how to finish.

She's a freshman. Big respect to her for playing against girls who have had the varsity experience for 3+ years. You're mad because she outshoots your daughter with less experience. Grow up, get a life.

She has been a big part of the Woodson offense and has helped the other girls get good looks and opportunities.

I was informed there was a comment made about my “lefty attacker” daughter. Does she wish she had those 4 shots back, yes, but how about the WP made good saves. As any freshman starting on varsity, they are going to have good games and not so good games. But to come on her to pop off on a 15 year old is complete BS. Do better

So wouldn't you agree then? Seed the best teams but in all sports.

Region D had the State Champion in Boys Basketball and Baseball and had a team in the State Final for Football. Not sure how that comparison works.

But how many other teams were worthy of being there?

Woodson is 4-8, right. With at least 6 blowout losses.

Robo running clock on WP when putting 2-3 rd string in
So it a walk to states for Robo!

No matter the sport, most of us would prefer a state playoff system that didn't leave out 2 of the top 4 teams in the state. In this forum we are talking lacrosse. Based on the current LN rankings, the current system will do that in girls lacrosse.

Talk about battlefield have a bye to finials Woodson and Robo too

While Region C may be down, in Region B, BF only needs to get past #23 or #25 to make it to Finals.

Region C Top 4 (LN)
9.Robo
12. WS
13. WP
14. Woodson

Region B Top 4 (LN)
5. BF
16. Freedom
23. CF
25. Gainesville

For Completeness:

Region A Top 4 (LN)
6. Deep Run
8. Cosby
37. Glen Allen
47. Landstown

Region D Top 4 (LN)
1. YT
2. Madison
3. Oakton
4. Langley

VHSL is such a clown show. Do a league tournament for an automatic birth and then have one big state tournament where everyone is seeded. Region A and B are ridiculous.

Agree. No reason all four from D shouldn't get in and #7 SL. Region D also has #10 Westfield, #11 Chantilly. Region D has 7 of top 11. Region B has 1 in the top 15.

Can the rest of the contenders learn something from Western's game plan? Last year Woodson had a great strategy in the State Quarter finals by slowing the game down to limit positions and nearly pulled off the upset 10-9. In most games the BF/Oak/Mad/Lang are the high tempo team, but can they out high tempo Yorktown?

You don’t stop them. They have more talent than any other team. Too many weapons and too much speed. They will win each playoff game by at least 5 goals

Good to see the YT kids are stepping up to challenge the BF parents in stupid statements.

Please stop with the kid stuff. You want to be an a$$ to the BF adults, go for it (I am one, so, go for it, I could care less). I don’t care what team the girl plays for, you need to just shut up. This is ridiculous how much you like to pound on your chest to make yourself feel like a man when all you are is a tiny, tiny man

YT has EARNED the right to make that statement. If you can’t handle, well, that’s your problem

I believe chest thumping is claiming you will win every game by 5.

Who knows if they will win each game by 5 goals, but it's a reasonable prediction considering the outcomes so far this season against state contenders: Robo by 10, BF by 5, Lang by 6, Oakton by 3, and Madison by 5.

This is a reasonable prediction, the original post was chest thumping.

I may have used different words, but it’s not unreasonable to think based on actual results that the contenders can’t stop YT, that YT is the most talented, YT is deeper, and have more speed. If you disagree, offer reasons why the statement was wrong.

Although it’s clear that YT is the best team this year in 6A, I think there will be an upset and YT will lose at some point in the state tournament. They’ve shown to have some vulnerabilities and every team is vying to beat them. No different than a dominant Langley losing to YT in 2023 state semi-finals. Anything can happen.
