Wait I thought the inflation was so bad in 2022 and 2023 that we voted for fascism to make it better.

Inflation and job losses. A winning GOP combination.

So we are getting sicker, poorer, more unemployed and with the gutting of education, dumber.

But we can all be angry and have guns and attack each other while the oligarchs cackle in the corner reaping their profits.

Government spending is a money multiplier. Every dollar the government spends creates $4-6 dollars in the economy. When the government radically stops spending, it is a money divider. It's not just the tariffs. Billions of dollars have evaporated overnight.

Consumer prices up 2.9% in August. Ticking up higher. Airfare up 6% in August. Gasoline up 1.9%. Used cars up 1%. Up, up, up, and up.

Here we go...I'm assuming the SC didn't agree to take on this case unless it was prepared to find in Trump's favor.

Breaking: Supreme Court Agrees to Review Trump’s Sprawling Tariffs
The Supreme Court agreed to review the legality of the Trump administration’s sweeping tariffs, accepting a case that will test the limits of executive power and the president’s signature economic initiative.

• 155k farm workers gone
• Fresh veggies up 8%
• Restaurants up 5.3%
• 1.2M workers vanished
• Housing permits crashing

Your receipts don’t lie, even if he does.

To be fair, we will only start seeing the impact of tariffs in the coming weeks. The inflation we have seen to date is independent of tariffs.

Honestly, I don't know what to believe with this BLS. I would have accepted the revisions pre-Trump's interference, now, who knows what is to be believed.

Do not believe Trump's BLS. There is a reason Biden had good jobs numbers because he prioritized jobs over inflation. That may have been the wrong calculus, but Trump and his admin will lie, cheat, and steal their way to the top. Has Trump said anything about creating jobs? Anything besides stupid puffery like "we're going to create the most jobs." No, he hasn't. Though if I've missed some concrete strategy he's outlined, please feel free to post it and I will revise my statement.

Biden’s job numbers were not as good as initially reported. They have all been revised down. And the few jobs he can claim went to either government workers or to foreign born workers.

I work in an industry with a lot of manufacturing. Our companies are closing or cancelling projects. We actually expected to need 500k new workers in the next 3 years. Totally disappeared overnight.
