. Were you there? If you were you would have seen that Gonzaga did not play their starters as much as it normally would in either game. They prioritized uncommitted 2024”s, 2025”s and especially the uncommitted 2023”s for whom those two games were the last games they would ever play. This was especially true of the second game.

Take a deep breath and get a grip. Don’t be so much of a hater. Fix whatever is happening in your life that makes you act this way. Good luck.

2. St Johns (15-3): The Cadets with extra pressure on their backs after an undefeated 2022 regular season, lived up to the hype this season. The Cadets are now winners of the past 3 WCAC banners and have emerged as the program to beat in the Catholic League. Big Tastey will also be a likely front runner for Wash Post POY.

3. Paul VI (18-5) WCAC runner-up and VISSA state champions. The Panthers, unlike seasons of the past, didn't fold down the stretch and played their best lacrosse in late April and May. Despite the loss to SJC in the WCAC finals, PVI knocked off a very strong Blue Ridge squad and Episcopal team to win the program's 2nd ever private school state championship. Given what the Panthers return on paper next year, Coach Lee has this program headed in the right direction.

4. Landon (12-7): IAC runner-up... A roller coaster of a season for the Bears this Spring. After a very slow start to the season, Landon seemed to have found their mojo in the finals weeks of the season. The young Bears will be a front-runner in the IAC next spring with how many sophomores and juniors played big-time minutes this Spring and the return of Kevin Miller from a knee injury.

5. Gonzaga (13-8): Another up-and-down season for the Purple Eagles. Gonzaga started the season strong with good wins over Landon, Bullis, and a trip out to San Fran against California's best but really stumbled down the stretch. The Eagles lost 3 out of their final 4 games to end the season.

6. Episcopal (16-5) VISSA finalist. The Maroon put together one of their best IAC teams in decades, earning the #2 seed at the end of the regular season. EHS fell in the finals of the VISSA state finals to PVI.

7. Bullis (15-8) After Wade went down for the season, Bullis never seemed to find their way this Spring.

8. St Albans (12-9): After a hot start to the season with victories over strong MIAA teams and a strong showing in Texas, the Bulldogs struggled as IAC league play unfolded.

9. DeMatha (10-9) The Stags had an up-and-down season.

10. Saint Andrews (12-3): First-year coach, earns himself a MAC championship.
