Arlington will beat VDA 3-1 MAYBE 3-2

You mean the same team that finished 3rd in GA and couldn't beat FCV or SJEB will beat VDA? Perhaps you should slow your roll.

Didn't FCV/SJEB beat VDA this year?

They have never played each other.

Bethesda won over Matchfit 2-1. Lost to PDA 3-0 which I guess is an improvement from last year.

Seems lime most of the DMV ECNL teams are better with the exception of Loudoun and MD United. MD United took a 5-1 thumping vs. Pipeline.

Would love to see VDA vs. Pipeline!

It seems like a different team though. Early results indicate that Arlington has taken a step up since last year. It's very possible that other teams have as well relative to the competition in other areas. I think that was PPs point.

Sure, and perhaps that is all true, it is still better to just shut up and let the results come in on their own.

Right. Plus crazy s- can happen in a game. Results can be all over the place based on a couple of mistakes or a bad matchup or two.

NC Courage is on another level, but otherwise Arlington, Loudoun, VDA, and Union all had great results from a weekend in North Carolina. Arlington, in particular, seems to be winning big against good competition in ECNL and East Coast Premier. VDA also did well against out of state competition in VDA friendlies. In other preseason tournaments Union and FCV were good competition for each other, but a step above other teams in the OBGC 07 bracket, splitting two games with FCV ultimately winning the final. Vienna beat MD United to win the 08 bracket OBGC. FCV, Metro, and Vienna have also started strong in GA and RL regular season play.

A few teams would obviously be better if there were not so much talent dilution and the best of the best gravitated towards those clubs. Overall though, the quality of play in our local area looks to be higher than some other regions even though top players are more consolidated elsewhere. We must be doing something right.

VDA beats NC Courage at Jefferson Cup but NC Courage is on another level and VDA is in the mix McLean, Loudoun, and Arlington (teams who have been and will be blown out by vda)? That’s funny.

So much for mutual respect. VDA is a good team but you know how these boards get if you puff up your chest a little bit to much. It would be smarter for the VDA parent to say Courage is very good, it makes your win look better and if you tie or lose then it was honorable. Parents put up way to much bulletin board material on these forums.

Just be respectful of other teams and don't take every post about another team being good as some kind of personal insult to your team.

Who said Courage isn’t very good? They are.

Where did PP say Courage isn’t good?

They took a compliment of Courage as a slight or dismissal of VDA. So there I'll and ask where did anyone say VDA wasn't good?

Your appeal regarding being smart and respectful will likely fall on the deaf ears of this VDA parent or coach. VDA tied 2 out of 3 ECNL games against Loudoun last year, but PP is claiming that VDA blew them out. Btw, VDA did not blow anyone out this year at VDA friendlies. They are in the mix with other teams.

Loudoun and Union will finish ahead of VDA in the table this year. Get off DCUM, QP.
