I’m 48 and 30 is YOUNG.
I didn’t have kids yet. I didn’t have any perimenopause symptoms yet. I could go out on a random weeknight and knock back a couple drinks and be fully functional the next day. I never thought about putting makeup on my face cause my skin was perfectly even and smooth.
30 is so, so young. To me. I’m sure another person would have different experiences and perspectives.
And for an 80 year old, 48 is young. But objectively 30 is an adult, a grown up, and not off limits from criticism or scrutiny, especially if said 30 year old is a celebrity who has placed him or herself in the public eye. I’m so sick of the societal infantilism of adults.
I don’t see anyone infantilizing Erin? I feel somewhat protective because I remember at 30 I was concerned over things that don’t concern me now especially in the looks department. Not because she’s a baby, but because it’s a different phase of life. So yeah, scrutinizing a 30-year-old about her face in a really public forum is super offputting. And yes, Megan is 20 years older, so it seems even weirder. But I don’t see anyone infantilizing.

Megyn makes me glad I had a good support system after I got fired and that I was able to get a new job to occupy my mind within a month. Methinks she had too much downtime and it rotted her brain.
Megyn, Megyn, Megyn. You used to be a serious journalist. Now you're doing podcasts claiming HPV is safer than the cervical cancer vaccine and bullying young actresses for plastic surgery. Grow up already.
When did she say that HPV is safer than the vaccine? U saw she did a special on it but I did not see where she said it was safer.

It's not extensive, as Megyn is implying, but it's also not nonexistent. I do think part of it is aging, but I also think she had buccal fat removal (it's true you do lose some facial fullness between 18-29 but not that much) and maybe a nose job. But, again, I also think she just aged ten years and is wearing her makeup differently. In some pics it looks like she has a lot of contouring/highlighting going on, which would make her face look different.
Second thing: Why is her name even in Megyn Kelly's mouth? It's one thing for a podcaster - she's not a journalist anymore, let's just call it like it is - to be talking about plastic surgery trends and say they think young actresses are getting too much plastic surgery. It's quite another to say "I think it's a sign of mental illness" and then call out ONE ACTRESS SPECIFICALLY for her work. And then to have her male guest opine on it? Not that men can't have opinions on things like plastic surgery, but to invite a middle aged man to comment on a young woman's FACE feels so unnecessary and gross. The world could've lived without Michael Knowles' opinion on a 29yo actress's face, plastic surgery or not.
Lastly, Megyn Kelly of all people should not be calling other women out for getting plastic surgery. She looks good but she doesn't come by it honestly, so she shouldn't be throwing stones at glass plastic surgeons' offices.
Totally agree. The whole thing seemed gross. Just seems to be picking on a young actress. Can’t help but think Megyn is just really jealous? Otherwise, I just don’t get where the whole thing started from.
Not that this would be OK, but it would be one thing if she was picking on somebody who publicly and loudly denounces plastic surgery and is trying to sell supplements or skin care products to stay young and calling out that hypocrisy, but this actress is really kind of under the radar not even that famous? And doesn’t seem to have a skin care or wellness product line.
I’m just puzzled by the whole thing lol.
Yes, exactly! Like it just feels so random.
She bullies young women a lot (Naomi Osaka, also she legit hates Meghan Markle - who is like 40 so not young but you get my point - and once tweeted something about how she wanted to beat her up which was hysterical) but it’s usually when they do something Megyn deems annoying. Like the Naomi Osaka thing was because she took a mental health day which I disagreed with Megyn being incensed over that but it was in the news so it made sense that she would comment but like….I’ve never heard of Erin Moriarty before so I’m not sure why MK called her out by name.
Forgot that she's called Taylor Swift dumb multiple times in the last few months, one of those times was because Taylor went to a comedy show by a comedian who was pro-Palestine. I am very pro-Israel myself but I don't see how that comedian's political beliefs are Taylor's responsibility.
Except it wasn’t a comedy show that just happened to feature a Pro-Palestine comedian. It was a fundraiser for Gaza in the immediate aftermath of l the October 7 pogrom. Either Taylor Swift is really dumb or she was supporting Hamas after they raped and murdered innocent Israeli men and women. If you are pro-Israel, or just a supporter of women in general, you should be disgusted with Tay-tay. I am. And even though I’m no fan of Megyn, good on her for calling Taylor out on it.
I believe that Taylor Swift went to a comedy show, and the comedian then said that he was donating the proceeds to humanitarian relief in Gaza. It was advertised as a fundraiser. In the words to Taylor Swift, you need to calm down.
