Because coaches could care less about adults who never grew up and kids that need parental guidance that obviously missed the mark due to them living vicariously through their child as children themselves. This whole thread screams insane insecurities. Go have an adult beverage with a friend and try not to talk about soccer.

Or perhaps you shouldn’t draw broad conclusions from reading anonymous threads. One could as easily conclude there is a broad plastic bubble culture in Vienna that parents try to appear to protect at all costs. Neither narrative, of course, is true. At least based on my experience for 14 years in Vienna.

Not the poster above, but I've heard from at least a half dozen people (from within Vienna) that there are some shitty attitudes in VYS. And, while the kids are talented, they don't play inspired soccer. Some NOT ALL, attribute this to demoralizing within teams caused by bad attitudes. At some point, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's a duck.

Vienna definitely has a plastic bubble culture.

Amen. The passive aggressive whining - I mean, at some point, your kid is absolutely getting what she deserves.

So, kids deserve to be called names and harassed by their teammates for no reason? In your feeble mind, it's not your problem if my kid was born small and your kid has the right to call him a midget - completely unprovoked. That's the mentality that Donald Trump normalized.

Um no, that’s not what I said, but I think you ought to deal with this directly instead of airing your grievances anonymously while attacking kids whose identity can be deduced. And as far as mental acumen goes, I am fairly sure I will do laps around you any old day of the week.

Ironically, he's playing up a year on the top team of a very good team. And is still mouthing off to everyone, which makes it all the more unbelievable.

VYS 05 Eagles

This was enabled by the coaches.

Was not referring to this particular team but same club and also enabled by coaches. Kid's playing time only increased after repeatedly name calling and talking back to the coach. Would not happen under my watch.

DC's team has one of these too.

Same here. This girl was the only one not wearing a mask throughout the season. And the coach did - nothing. It even felt my DD was punished with playtime since I raised the mask issue with the coach.
