YIKES.
You hit the nail on its head! I completely agree with this assessment-- and it makes me feel very smug indeed.
+1. It brings me so much joy. Not to mention the fact that in addition to flushing $200K plus down the toilet they also spent major money on test prep coaches, private college counselors (who appear to be generally full of shit based on what we've heard), and essay assistance. And, you're going to Tulane along with half of Wilson!
Roll Wave!
When did Tulane become a major destination for Wilson?

especially the unhooked kids. I have heard that they are negatively affected by test-optional, the elimination of AP's and grade deflation.
Ok please tell me your experiences- Big 3 parents only please...I am not interested in hearing how well your W school kid did, or how stupid you think I am for paying private school tuition.

It should work that way...that's capitalism. Why work hard and take risks if you can't get a better life for yourself and your loved ones? Self interest works...Read the Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith.

I believe OP asked for Big 3 parents only. You're the cheap parent who chose to pay for early retirement but not schools of choice for your kids. Not interested in your opinion. Thanks.
No, I'm the parent who wisely didn't pay for the Big 3 and sent my kids to colleges that many in the Big 3 would now kill to get their kids into.
No, not even close, you're the parent who thinks others would do extreme things (that maybe you would do) just to get their DC into some school that a lot buy into as being elite because it gives them an advantage with networking and what not in the workforce.
Where did you learn to write?
