haha..too funny. There is one part of me who wants that but I know benefits of AAP programs. So hope not.
Since it's already end of Apr 6th, I think they have been mailed and we should get them sometime this week. Some people might get them tomorrow if they started mailing on Monday.
So what are the benefits of AAP? Can you elaborate please, I want to know in detail.
They're not going to admit it, but moms on here want their kids in AAP because there are more white and Asian kids, fewer black and hispanic kids.
Huh??
DP. Meaning "they're not that concerned with the advanced level of academics, they just don't want their kids going to school with Black kids". It's not most of them, but you're kidding yourself if you don't understand there are at least a few of these.
I guess that’s why you’re here reading these post. Such ignorance!! People like you create more problems.
It's funny - every time I come on here and talk about something applying to a few people, folks assume I'm referring to all of them. People on this forum literally can't stop telling on themselves. Yes, SOME parents seeking to get to AAP are doing so because of motivations that are racist in nature. Not ALL, not MOST, but SOME.

I would not doubt this is true, probably because with virtual school so many parents have seen how pathetically low the typical classroom curriculum is and have decided their kids need more challenging work.
Not sure how virtual learning correlates with "more" students applying this year. This by itself is flawed. The only official test taken and supported by empirical data is the NNAT. If kids didn't score 132 or higher, they aren't part of the pool. Sure, parents can still submit a referral but without letters of recommendations and/or piano, chest completion results, etc., being considered by FCPS, the number of parents applying this year for level IV is a lot lower than you think.
This what I read in the email they sent for inpool in december: You will be notified of the selection committee’s decision by the middle of April, so it may be in mid of April not in beginning of April.
Eligibility decisions are sent April 5-6.

Whether by email or snail mail or carrier pigeon is not yet known.
I got a good chuckle out of this. I think it's carrier pigeon.

Anonymous wrote:Our AART just shared that on Monday they got an update from the central office stating that parents will be notified by Friday.

Thanks for sharing! They probably get a chuckle out of this thread.
