Madlax A teams, which have about 24 players (29 or 30), are not competing in the fall hoco league because they're competing in 4 high level tournaments. Each Of these tournaments has several nationally ranked teams. Most other are club teams are competing in only 2 tournaments. The Madlax A team and B teams have already split.The B team competes in 3-4 mid level tournaments.

Also, the Fall hoco league has so so competition. FCA and Next Level are probably the best programs competing in the fall league. The Annapolis Hawks are strong but it is their B team hoco league.

Last I checked, that still makes them eligible for senior year sports. Your beef should have been raised years ago in elementary school tournaments and their rules.

I'm not disagreeing but there are plenty of kids in middle and elementary school with the same relative birth dates. The current system allows for a 364 day exemption from the appx start of school on 9/1. It is waaay too long.

DC Dogs are by far the best team at the 23 division. DCE has the 21's (and now it looks like the 22's!) Madlax owns 23-25..not even a debate here.


DC Dogs team has a few kids on their roster who have turned 17 already (Yes 17 years old two months into their sophomore year of HS).Its a very good team, I am not disputing that, however, some cubs will narrow the gap by the time when these kids are heading in their senior season when kids from other programs start to physically mature.

I know that a lot of people enjoy playing gotcha with MadLax on this board, sometimes myself included, but if you have a serious question that you think deserves a real answer, then you should raise it with the owner or his director(s) directly and have an adult discussion. By raising it anonymously in a forum focused on playing time, roster size, 9th grade bragging rights, etc. you don't have much credibility.

Next Level 24s are as good, if not better than Madlax 24. They just took 3 of MadLax best players, not including the other one they took 2 years ago.

Not really. They lost to the best team in the country in that class division and beat the rest. The Dogs are really good and laxers want to try and compare them to some of the better teams like DCE 21. They aren't at that level but they are better than most.


DC Dogs are a strong group of players. I watched them this weekend and a few other times over the last 12 months. Strong at FOGO and have talent across the board. Seem to be better up front than in the back, but that can change with age/maturity. They win a lot of game against top teams, just maybe aren't quite at the top. Top 3 team in the 2023's for sure with room to grow.

Tough to compare to DCE 21 team, as they were loaded and were consistently the top team at that age. The ML '19 team was the closest thing I have seen to the DCE 21 team. Both were dominant over a number of summers against everyone they played.

Yes. I was thinking more nationally; not just DC area.

Best team in this area but cannot claim that nationally. Crabs Hawks DC dogs are all close. Each are 5 to 10 goals a game better than the other local teams
