We rented a house for ~12k. For that amount of money, you can get a house on the sand in the OBX. And the OBX beaches are waaaay less crowded (well Duck and Corolla anyway).
We also found the water too cold to swim for long in July.
^ Me again. I should have specified this is Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, I've never stayed on the mainland Cape. But I hear Chatham and Edgartown are similar to MV and Nantucket.
LOL Edgartown is MV. You need to improve your Google skills, next time you start a thread.
This person did not start the thread. I am the OP and didn't check back in after the first three pages as I went to the beach.
I think that the person railing about the OP needs to learn what the word means. None of the people you referred to as the OP were the OP. Surprise! It means Original Poster.
Also, possibly, develop a thicker skin. I also did not call you crazy in this thread. Or start the acronym for just how crazy you are.
But, I'll give it to you, you love the Cape. And you are really, truly something.
I would say you were paid to shill for the Cape. And against the OBX. Except that you are a bit too unhinged to be paid in the communications field.
More names. Shocking. Anyone who uses that word so much has to have been called it an awful lot. For shame.
Any wonder people don't want to go to the OBX, where you are, OP?
She’s back!!!
We’ve missed you! How’s the Cape? No sharks this week since the 4 largest great whites are vacationing in Nantucket (per multiple news reports earlier this week—I’m not kidding). But I am curious how the toxic bacteria in the local ponds is affecting your trip? And, they’ve busted up some mask-free 100+ parties there this week (hopefully they weren’t disturbing your magical trip). The latest on the multiple opioid ODs this week was tragic.
I read with Interest they’ve implemented parking restrictions so locals can use a certain beach or two. Smart! Then I saw the picture of the tiny sliver of a beach reachable after sliding down a hill. Weird, right?
PS - The OP isn’t in OBX.
